The Weekend!
It's finally the weekend and I really need it. This is the first week back after I was in AZ for the last two weeks. It was great out there, but boy - HOT! HOT! I'm not kidding - 106 for more than one day. I was out there to see the Dalai Lama for a three day teaching. It was sooo amazing! Just seeing him in person is a really cool experience. I have lots of pictures and stories if you're interested. Just ask me!
This weekend is the last weekend of Ren Faire and I am happy and sad to see it go. I have to admit it's fun to have that many opportunities to get into costume and bounce around. An for those of you who know me, I'm not the only one bouncing out there ;) It's also nice to be in the fantasy world along with so many other folks. The only thing that could have made it better was not working (not realistic) and being able to fight!
I have a ton of work to get done this weekend. Still need to unpack - shopped so much out there we bought another new suitcase to carry it all - and do the laundry. There's a really great block party on my street tomorrow night complete with a live band, kids activities and lots of food. I've been asked to offer my talents (such as they are) for some fire poi and breathing. I'll probably do the poi, but the breathing has to be for a special event, it's just too tough on my stomach.
I'm hoping gas doesn't get too expensive or my ROS attendance may drop off. At $4+ a gallon it will get expensive real quick! Hopefully that won't happen. Lot's of good stuff is happening at work. Especially yesterday and today....lots of hope for the future! For those of you who know me, just ask...I'm really excited about it : )
