After what we went through to escape the flooding, death, disease and violence in Nola during the days of and that followed Katrina, this is hitting me hard!

I´ve been thinking about this for some time. And to read the news today, I just broke down sobbing my eyes out. I asked my husband if we could take in a woman and child. But how? Will our government allow that? Where do I begin? We are poor people, but if we could get a woman and child out of that mess....
