Random updates of randomness

Exactly one week from today, I'll be flying home to see my family! And getting my iPad, which is currently somewhere in Newark, NJ. I'll be home for 3 weeks and I have a feeling it's going to go fast. As of right now, I have about one day where I have no plans. Out of three weeks. So, what's on tap?

3 Reading Phillies games
2 Phillies games
"Miss Saigon" in Philadelphia
5 days of my eldest niece staying with me and Mom
Dentist appointment
Hair appointment
1 day in NYC
Hershey Park with the Korean, both sisters, and all offspring, both old and new
3-4 days with Korean hanging out in PA, total
Sleepover at eldest sister
3 days visiting middle sister and new offspring in DC

So yeah. I'll be busy. The first full day I'm home is when Mom and I are taking Harry to the Reading Phillies game. I'll have my dog, baseball, numerous hot dogs and beer, and so will be fully re-Americanized in about 24 hours after landing.

But, I still have things to do this week before I head off. These include:

1 more day of work placement (tomorrow)
Meeting with dissertation supervisor (Wednesday)
Shopping trip to Hamley's/other touristy shops for family gifts (Wednesday)
Multiple flat viewings with culf  (Thursday)
Seeing "Attack the Block" (today)
Hopefully seeing "X-Men: First Class"
Finishing LoM big bang draft (currently have 4637 words to go before I reach the minimum; this is better than yesterday when I had approximately 6000)

So, that's what my next 4 weeks look like. Coolest part about this trip home is that I won't be flying back alone at the end of June. Mom and my aunt are coming over with me to spend about 10 days in London. Yay! It'll be nice because the next time I'm home will probably be Christmas. Plane tickets are friggin' expensive nowadays.

After the madness of the big bang draft is over, I'm thinking about doing some "5 things" Sherlock fics. I want to write more in that fandom but all my plot bunnies are LoM leftovers. But speaking of Sherlock, culf  and I got Sherlock mugs at CollectorMania this weekend! That was our goal, and we succeeded. Thank you, mug people that go to every convention for having Sherlock mugs this time. culf  asked about coasters but they didn't make them. Yet. Maybe if they get enough requests, we'll see some new stuff at London Film and Comic Con this July. I also bought two photos of our favorite Master. One from Utopia, that's basically a bigger/better quality photo of my standard icon and one from The End of Time where he's strapped into the chair with the gag on. Don't you love children's television?

family, culf is the evil one, life on mars, sherlock, let's go phils!, that's british entertainment, writing
