A third of the stay through
Just under two weeks left here in the States before I head back to my second home. It's been fun and relaxing so far, and I still have a ton of awesome stuff left to do. And by ton I mean a few things.
Tomorrow I'm going to NYC for the day to spend the afternoon with Med School Friend. So excited to see her in person after over a year of pure online/telephone communication. I remember the good ol' days at NYU when we would get take out Mexican food and watch episode after episode of House in the afternoon. I checked my bus route and everything is running normally, despite the weather we just had. So I should be fine. If not, well, I have a few phone numbers I could call and get a coach to crash on.
I'll be up in NYC again Jan. 5-6, staying with the Korean who now has a queen size air mattress for guests! It's exciting. Last time I visited her, I slept in her bed while she slept on the floor (her choice).
Today I saw The King's Speech and it was absolutely fantastic. Colin Firth was amazing. Go out and see it. Now.
Yesterday I finished reading Atonement. Such a good book. Now I'm going to rewatch the film before I go back, even if it's Benedict Cumberbatch playing the rapist.
I also bought a new jacket today at Kohl's. I'm slightly embarrassed as it's part of the Britney Spears line. But you know what, it's cute, it's age appropriate, and it's a jacket that actually fits me properly. So, so what if it says Britney Spears on the inside tag.
Now it's off to bed! Need to get up early to catch a bus.
