Double movie day
Finally watched The Hurt Locker and Bright Star yesterday. Loved Hurt Locker. Feel so-so about Bright Star. I'm taking an Oscar movie break after these two, with the next two movies coming from Netflix being Zombieland and Shock Corridor the latter of which is a 1960s mental hospital film.
Writing went so-so today. I kept getting distracted by 1) a lack of character motivation for the scene I was writing and 2) the second weirdest adult-child interaction I've seen in a Starbucks where a young mother kept telling her fussing baby to, "Stop it. Jesus Christ, you little brat." Because, as we all know, babies perfectly understand the phrase "stop it."
Anyway, I'll have a week to think through the scene, since I won't have time to write until next Saturday.
For now, I'm going to relax and doing nothing for the rest of my Sunday.
