Farewell 2009
The mostly crap year that was 2009 ended in fitting fashion yesterday - with me waking up sick. I woke up in the middle of the night with a sore throat and the rest of the day had a headache, post-nasal drip, and no energy. We also had snow and freezing rain so I couldn't have gone anywhere if I wanted to. Mom and I played Wii all day, and I also watched 9 which I really did love.
Also realized that I'm an idiot because I bought "Beautiful Chaos" with my gift card, and I already own "Beautiful Chaos." It's sitting there on my shelf, waiting to be read. *face!palm* So, I need to take the copy I just bought back to Borders and exchange it for something else.
So, here's hoping 2010 goes much better. It may sound weird, but since the dawn of time, bad things have happened to my family only in odd years, and in even years, the best things tend to happen to us. Now, I already have a real vacation planned (yay cruise!) and will hopefully end up back in England before this year is hoping.
Right now I'm watching the Doctor Who marathon on BBC America. That's a good way to start the new year, right?
