Today: Missions accomplished

I hopped on the Wii Fit and remembered how much fun the boxing game is. You work up a good sweat but you're not completely exhausted once you're finished. Plus, you get to virtually punch things. Always fun.

Writing went really well today. I've realized I need to push back one event and push up a different event in the novel, a change which should make the beginning flow better. I also calculated that I need to fill up 5 pages of the moleskine a day in order to have it filled by my goal date. Today writing went really well and I ended up filling just about 10 pages worth. Also did some more fine tuning on the synopsis. It's only five pages now and I think the story beats are definitely clearer than they were before, but I think the last two pages need another humorous line or two. Granted, the book does get more serious towards the end, and the synopsis follows suit, but I don't know if that fact will be clear in the short synopsis or if it will just look like I got lazy and stopped being funny.

Also went grocery shopping for me and mom (and I'm sorry teenaged check-out girl whose sister just showed up, I don't care if Julio just told management you were "preggo," could you please just swipe my gift card so I can go home?) and went through the book boxes for the flea market, so those are all organized.

In those boxes, also found a whole bunch of my school notebooks from 1st/2nd grade. I present for your amusement, an actual entry. I think I was supposed to record what I did during the summer for school.

July 2, 1994

Wore: I wore a Lenny Dysktra shirt, jean shorts, white socks, and blue slip-ons.

Did: I watched "Tiny Toons" and "Tazmania" this morning. I cleaned my room. I also played with my Jurrasic [sic] Park toys. I took scraps of wood and made them into a small train. I also went minature [sic] golfing with my two sister's' [sic] and my one sister's boyfriend.

Ate: I ate a butter and cheese sandwich with a sqeeze-it [sic]. For dinner I had barbaque [sic] chicken with water.

*spies Phillies shirts in closet and Tiny Toons DVDs on shelf, knows exactly where Jurassic Park toys are in toy closet*

Oh how little has changed. And I can't remember what a "squeeze-it" is. It was either a type of yogurt or ice pop, I think.
