CHAPTER 2
“Seungri, what am I doing today?” Seunghyun asked knowing that he probably wasn’t going to be doing much. He liked being so ridiculously rich that he could do whatever the fuck he pleased.
“Wow you actually have something on the agenda. Let’s see… you’re going to Haebaragi High School (A/N: Yeah I totally just looked up a random word… it’s sunflower lol) to survey it or something…. Since you did just make a huge ass donation there.”
“I did?”
“Yes you did. Shit Hyung did you sleep through the whole ceremony thing?”
“Apparently…”
Seungri rolled his eyes but leaned forward nonetheless to tell the chauffeur the directions to the school.
“You’re hopeless you know that right?”
“You keep telling me that, it seems.” Seunghyun smirked.
“Aigoo I wonder why.”
---------------------
“Okay people. That was great. Hyunsuk, you need to keep your voice appropriate, “my dog died!” with a smile in your voice is a lot less effective than if you were to… oh, I don’t know, act sad or something?” The class laughed as Jiyong shifted his voice through the different emotions.
“Jiyong! I was not that bad!”
“You’re right oh and I’m 6’5” (194 cm or so my metric converter tells me anyway, it’s tall. Haha)” More laughter as their class imagined their rather petite teacher as very tall basketball player type person. Jiyong always kept his class full of laughter and humor because he loved feeling like he was making more happiness in the world. He couldn’t see smiles but his students’ laughter was like music and his students adored him for it.
“Hey Jiyong, you ever going to tell us why you wear those sunglasses inside?”
“Cause he’s hot.” One of the girls whispered to her friend. When would they learn?”
“Why thank you Hyerin, I try. (insert laughter from class and embarrassed hididng from Hyerin), but I guess we’re far enough in the year (it had been a month) that you all fear me enough,” the room was filled with “pfftsss” and “yeah right”s,
“I’ll let you in on a big secret.”
“Big secret???” Jiyong heard the wary eagerness in his students’ voices.
Jiyong hesitated weighing his options in his mind, knowing he couldn’t fight off questions forever. Besides in his class he frequently asked his students to open their hearts and souls to him, so he might as well return a little something.
“Yeah… the truth is… I’m a super awesome wizard and I can control your mind if you look into my eyes. But since I’m so nice and cool I don’t do that so I have to wear this glasses. Maybe if I used my power though I could get you guys to stop smiling at the wrong time.” Jiyong gave a pointed look at that previously mentioned student.
The students all groaned. They hadn’t really expected their teacher to be serious about it… but a part of them had at least hoped they’d get something out of him. The truth was, Jiyong was just stalling for more time. The moans and groans died down after a few moments and Jiyong had just opened his mouth to continue talking… about what he wasn’t sure, when one of the more quiet girls spoke out.
“Jiyong… you’re blind aren’t you?”
Jiyong blinked in surprise. Nobody had ever called him out on it before.
“Whoa plot twist. 10 points to you Jaein-ah.”
It was instant. It was like someone had just turned off the volume and Jiyong’s words hung heavy in the air.
Jiyong’s students saw him as loud, fun, unpredictable, eccentric, without weakness… they thought he just wanted them to be loud or read stuff aloud and wore the sunglasses because he was just being his weird self. They had never even considered that he had never even seen them before.
“W… wait… Really?!?!”
“Yep Hyunsuk it’s the truth. Betcha didn’t see that one coming… Jaein… how did you know?”
“Well you handle it so well I just realized a couple days ago. I noticed sometimes, it’s just for a split second but you seem like my grandfather… not that you’re old… but he’s uhh… blind too… It was mostly a guess though.”
“For real Jiyong? Wow, we all just thought you were really weird.”
“Oh but I am. Do not let the fact that I can’t see undermine my unparalleled weirdness okay?”
The class laughed a little nervously not sure how sensitive a subject it was. Jiyong knew it would pass and they’d be back to not even thinking about the fact he couldn’t see.
“Oh come on guys I’m blind, I didn’t suddenly reveal that I have an ass for a face.”
A beat.
One kid busted out laughing all of a sudden and the rest joined in.
That was what he loved to hear.
That was why he did this job.

Jiyong sorted his papers by the texture of the paper as his students left and he yelled endearing parting words out the door to them.
“We’re going to debate next period I hope you guys got your shit straight!”
Jiyong smiled to himself. That had gone better than he had thought it would.
“Jiyong ah, I’ve been like trying to call you for like an hour. What happened to your… phone… why is your phone on the floor?” Daesung asked rushing in his classroom Youngbae following after.
“It fell off… when I jumped… on the table…”
“What were you doing on the… you know what? Nevermind.” Daesung shook his head with a look of amusment and disbelief on his face.
"Right... well anyway, we have to go that donation thing that's honoring that Choi guy." Daesung said.
"Whaaa? Why do I have to go?"
"Because you work here, you're the youthful face of the school and the boss says so. Let's go!" Youngbae stated and then hooked his arm through Jiyong's left arm and Daesung took his right and started "guiding" him toward the door.
Jiyong frowned. He really would rather spend his time listening to his students' pieces of writing, each of which he recorded, to show them how they could improve. But there was no use trying to resist his friends who were stronger, more muscular, could see, oh and could shout embarassing facts about him if he got too far away... so there was really no point.
They got to the room and basically shoved him through the door. It was a good thing he knew the library so well.
"Jiyong ah~ Over here!" It was the principal, Yang Hyun Suk.(A.N: I honestly didn't know who to choose) Jiyong nodded and made his way toward the sound of YGs voice. It sounded like they were near the conference room and from the sounds of shuffling and a couple coughs, Jiyong guessed that there were about five other people in the room.
Jiyong sighed. He didn’t become a teacher for this shit.
“Jiyong-ah, I’d like you to meet Choi Seunghyun who has just donated 30000000 (about $28,000) won to the school.”
Jiyong wanted to just leave but knew Hyun Suk would probably eat him if he did.
He wished he could roll his unseeing eyes.
“Nice to meet you Mr. Choi… thank you for your… generous donation.” Jiyong said extending his hand. He couldn’t help a small gasp of surprise when he felt the other man instantly grasp his hand and raise it to his lips, kissing it gently.
Well he hadn’t been expecting that.
“It was my pleasure… and you may call me ‘Seunghyun’”
-----------
The moment Choi Seunghyun saw Kwon Jiyong he knew he had to have him. Despite the dark sunglasses that shielded his eyes from view, Jiyong had smooth, pale skin, small, full light pink lips. His hair was a longer choppy brown that framed his face. He was small and thin but still had a strong air about him.
He was really beautiful and Seunghyun knew he was irresistible so it was a win win situation. Seunghyun knew with his broad shoulders, dark eyes and hair he was undeniably sexy. He was also ridiculously wealthy. What was even more ridiculous than his wealth was the fact that he was a hopeless romantic. But details aside, Seunghyun had everything. Jiyong had to like him. He just had to. Why wouldn't he? He'd come from a rich family. Lived a sheltered life but where he lacked in personality he figured the other attributes made up for it quite nicely.
He’d really never seen anyone quite like Jiyong before.
The next hour and a half went by in a blur. He clapped at the appropriate times but his mind was solely on the beautiful young man sitting to his right. The way Jiyong seemed to stare at everything and nothing at all was so endearing and Seunghyun had just let the guy.
And then suddenly it was over. YG was shaking his hand and everyone was standing up. Seunghyun watched as Jiyong got up, slower than everyone else and almost meticulously pushed in his chair.
“Kwon Jiyong.” Seunghyun said a little louder than normal to catch the other man’s attention.
Jiyong’s head shot up to look in his direction. Seunghyun did think it was a little odd that the new found object of his affection wore sunglasses inside, but it added to his air of mystery and made Seunghyun want to get to know him better.
“Ah, Mr. Choi?”
“Remember, you can call me Seunghyun.”
“Oh… alright… Seunghyun… what can I do for you?”
“Well…” Seunghyun paused… he would just ask him if he wanted to go get some coffee. Nobody had ever turned him down for a date before because he was Choi Seunghyun and he was the perfect ideal match for anyone. Because he had the best everything that money could buy. There was no way Jiyong would say no, so he upped his confidence a bit because people found that the be sexy.
“I’m going to go get some coffee downtown and I thought you’d like to join me?”
Jiyong was silent for a moment but the idea to be nervous never even crossed Seunghyun’s mind.
“Are you asking me out… Seunghyun?”
“Of course and it’d be really silly of you to say no, so let’s just go.”
“Ah… I’m sorry but I think I’m busy doing… well… anything else…” Jiyong said smiling politely as if he had said he had a previous engagement or something more socially acceptable.
“What? Why?” Seunghyun asked genuinely baffled. Nobody had ever ever turned him down before. Why didn’t Jiyong like him like everyone else?
“I don’t know, I guess you’re not my type?”
Jiyong turned on his heel and began walking toward the door.
Seunghyun stood truly confused.
“Wait! What? But I’m everyone’s type!”
------------
Author's note: Seunghyun's character is kind of difficult for me to develop so I hope he comes off as an okay guy but cluelessly arrogant who has too much confidence do to his money and doesn't understand why someone wouldn't like him solely for those reasons.
Thanks for reading!
