I look forward to the day when we can return to street lights that have the color of moonlight rather than that of the lake of fire and brimstone in Revelation! This is the light from a high pressure sodium lamp (in effect burning salt), up until 1992 or 1993 we had a mercury vapor street light.
One of two Great Blue Herons in the spruce trees to the north some 100 feet from the house on the morning of February 4. This one was there from 10:14 a.m. to at least 2:00 p.m. The second one, who was mostly hidden amidst the branches, roosted there until at least 4:09 p.m.
