Blowing Snow in the Gold Creek Canyon



From foreground to background: The State Office Building in downtown Juneau at the right of center, then Mt. Roberts.. with part of Mt. Maria at the far left, Mt. Juneau on the left further back, shoulder north of Snowslide Gulch on Mt. Roberts on the right, and then the Gold Creek Canyon with the wall of the Mt. Juneau Ridge. Snow was being blown that day as far as Gastineau Channel and Douglas Island from the mainland valleys and mountains. It was a clear to partly cloudy day with a high of 24.7 degrees F. and a low of 6.7 degrees F.
