Early morning post!

Big baking day yesterday. All because I bought 2 kg of baking/cooking margarine on impulse... (But hey! It was on offer!!!) I ended up with 12 muffins with icing, 1 Sara-Lee-Chocolate-Pound-Cake-wannabe that's resting happyily in the freezer and 1 round chocolate cake which I will need to cover with whipped cream since I made a mess of the icing job. I'm thinking cover it with cream and then top it off with some fresh strawberries.

We're expecting visitors this weekend which is also why I decided to bake...not just because we have 2 kg of margarine sitting in our fridge.

It was also first day back at work yesterday... it felt good to be back which must mean I rested up well during my holidays. My second lot of holidays start on 7th Aug and we're going to Gotland! So looking forward to it! I think I've been bitten again by the travelling bug which has been curiously absent the past 6 months. It's not right when I'm not planning for my next trip. But I guess it's either I travel now or much much later... first things first.

Had a strange dream where Gerald was working as a manager at MacDonalds. Same one where I saw Rasul working there earlier too. But apparently Rasul had gone back to Guess and Gerald didn't want his staff at MacDonalds to know that he used to work at Guess. I complained about being shortchanged with my fries and he fixed that and compensated me with an ice-cream too! I woke up then... but then thougth what a waste to have ordered all that food and not eat it so I went back into the dream and started on my meal. Then I thought, what's the point of eating dream food... and junk food on top of that so I woke up to have breakfast for real! Somewhat different from my usual brekkies, I had rice with shrimp omelette and tau kee soup.

I have a nice pot of tau kee soup that has been simmering for 2 days. I made more so that it would last! We bought some tau kee in a Chinese grocery shop in Copenhagen (yeah, strange souvenir) among other things (soy sauce, black rice vinegar, udon, mee sua etc). I'm deprived, yes I know but what to do when there are no Chinese shops here in Växjö??

Okay...just heard my alarm clock go off upstairs. I should start getting ready for work... Nice to be back at work for just 2 days before the weekend hits. A nice soft start :) Have a nice day, everyone!
