a ducky problem

Nick's back tomorrow! Yay!!

I went grocery shopping after work to make something nice for dinner tomorrow night and I came across duck! It was like so uncommon to find duck in supermarkets here that I couldn't help but buy one! Now that the HUGE thing is happily thawing in the sink I'm struck by the sudden realization that I do not know what to do ( Read more... )

What to do with a whole duck...erm. Resuscitate it and set it free?

GEP reunion dinner later this evening. This should be interesting.

No no of course not. This is for only my batch. People from which I keep running into at the most unexpected times. And from their bemused looks I can tell I'm even more of an alien to them than I was in the past, heh. Like when I met my class chairman - Lynette, that's Qingyan - at Ikea with her 11-month-old son, I said that I was there with my fellow actors for lunch after my show, and she was like, "Actus? What company is that? Where is it?"

Like I said, tonight will be interesting.

Wow. Who put that together? I can't wait for my own reunion - we didn't do a 5-yr, maybe we'll do a 10 - all these people I used to like so much and now haven't seen in FOREVER!

And I do actually think I know a company called Actus. We dealt with them when we were moving into this house a long time ago. Could've been a furniture store, or a drapers, or a contractor... no, definitely furniture store, the more I think about it.

Actus is an Australian telephone company, as far as I know.

My batch has had a few reunions...maybe 5? Seems to be sort of a spontaneous thing when someone feels like organising. Only the first one had close to full attendance of course, but it's cool that we're still in touch after 13 years...my mind, she is boggled.

I don't know leh. Even Qingy was a bit of a surprise. For as long as I can remember she said she felt like a child herself and hence culd not see herself mothering a child...

And then suddenly she was preggers.

Here's the thing. She is thin as a stick! maybe juggling the career of a doctor and a little boy is really tough...

So instead of Atkins I should try mothering as an alternative diet? Is that how you keep youself so slim too?

Hmmm..."interesting" is one way of putting it! :)

People change so much, at least I know I have. I hope people in my past don't only see the old me.
