Little Timmy Nephew Boy
i wrote this in my Myspace blog. but i wanted to share it here because i see it spreading through out the net... even onto dating websites. which, after you read this, should seem strange to you too.
i would like to mention something if i might.
it has to do with the girls on this site and their need to take pictures with children.
very rarely are these children actually THEIR children. they are a niece or a nephew or some other relational thing.
what i, as a single dude, think when i see these pictures is this.
1) i log into myspace.
2) i somehow find the page of smiling pretty girl.
3) i click on her pictures, to see what else she does.
4) HOLY SMOKE SHE HAS KIDS!
5) reading closely i discover that said youngster is "my darling nephew bartholomew! isn't he cute! yada yada."
i pause for a program note. i don't care if a gal has kids. i like kids. i want kids. at my age, i could, and probably should, marry someone with kids. that way i won't be 153 by the time they graduate the high school. it doesn't push me away.
ME away.
some fellas it does. that's all i am saying.
and maybe it's what you want,
"i will post a picture of a kid and the skeezy geesers will leave me alone."
but i don't think that's really it.
i think what you are communicating is something like,
"i don't have kids, but i will take a picture with a kid in it, because i really like kids, and i want everyone to know that i like kids and someday i want to be a mommy."
anyway. this is my best guess. because, really, i don't get it.
but it's ok that i don't. many things about the feminine side of our species confound me. i am genetically predisposed to be confounded by them. i am not going to worry too much about this mystery. there are other darker, more secret ones to give my attention to. ones to actually be afraid of.
just thought you outta know, that's all.
