I just got a bunch of neat vintage French posters from Allposters.com. They're 25% off this week.
I'm trying to get a game plan for decorating in my head. The posters are very colorful and busy, so I'm thinking neutral tans and cream colors with brighter pillows and antique mall nicknacks. I'm going to sew curtains myself and I need to make a bedskirt because I want to put my bed up on cinder blocks so I can store stuff underneath it. Besides, I like how a bed really high off the ground looks.
I really really want a sewing machine. I'm going to have Lee ask if I can borrow his mom's... but I want one of my own. (((( BIRTHDAY PRESENT IDEA!! HINT HINT. You all can go in together and get me a really nice one with fancy stitches and a surger! ))))
I just started using a LiveJournal client and I like it so much better than posting from the web. Now LJ can't eat my entries, and I can jack up the font so I can read it easily from my recliner.
Lindsey IMed me to let me know 2 people died this week! How odd. They weren't ones I would pick to go. One was my cute 102 year old man who liked to give me kisses. I'll miss him!
We're going to have to buy so much stuff. I'm glad Lee works at Wal-Mart so we can use his employee discount. We looked at the furniture store up the street, and its all really expensive antique-y stuff. Way overpriced. I'll stick to GoodWill, thanks. I'll get a couch that's comfy even if its ugly and buy a slipcover.
This place has so much room! There's room for both our computers, 2 couches, a coffee table, end tables, DVD rack and the TV stuff. The kitchen has room for one of those little tables. The bathroom has a linen closet in it. There are 5 total closets, and that is pretty sweet. 5 or 6 windows, too. Lots of natural light. Ample cupboard space.

Lee and I are going thrifting and garage-sale hunting next Friday. I want to find a couple of couches, a coffee table, some end tables, funky lamps, shelves, a small kitchen table with 2 chairs and nicknacks. I'm also going to be keeping my eye out for a microwave.
We'll need help moving sometime during the first week of July. We will let you know the exact date as soon as we know it.
