"Sparking! NEO" Initial Thoughts
Hey... remember this thing...?!? I'm going to at least start cross-posting podcast episode releases over here. Never can have too many RSS feeds to pay attention to. Actually, you can. But anyway.
So I've been playing a bit of Sparking! NEO (JP PS2) the last couple days. It's... more of the same? But slightly better? And definitely prettier? We're going to do a two-part review on the podcast; this coming weekend's episode is going to strictly be initial thoughts as a gamer and as an owner/defeater of the last game... next week's will be more in-depth, after I've had some genuine time with the game and unlock even more stuff.
Right now I've completed the Saiya-jin arc, movie 3's story, movie 4's story, and the Bardock story. I've started what I presume is the early Freeza story, but Gohan just wasn't strong enough, so I did those movie ones, instead :P.
So that's that. Julian, Meri, and myself did a couple hours of MangaNEXT last weekend. The only real DB-related thing is that we picked up a couple doujinshi. Meri got a Trunks one she's always wanted, and I grabbed this absurdly cute one about Vegeta as a kid with Nappa. The story behind Nappa's lack of hair is a hoot :D.
In terms of the site, Rachel's been loading me up on stuff for the "Filler Guide," and I've been wanting to dive back in to a couple projects I had started up a long time ago. Now's the perfect time, because it's no longer AMV-crunch-time. We're working on the early stages of a massive AMV project with Jeff, but that's not under any deadline constraints.
But yeah. I'm gonna try and resurrect this thing. If you've got other friends on LJ, let them know. If people actually reply in here, maybe I'll be more tempted to write from time to time... hahaha.
