1st Night y ect.

I’m having a great time this weekend, and it is only halfway over with.

Last night, I went to Renee and Colin’s home. I learned a little more about cooking (I’m an okay cook, but I want to cook better and healthier). Colin made a nice spinach pizza, and Renee let me taste some cheeses that she has been telling me about (good stuff).

We also went to Janice and Kirk’s to celebrate Kirk’s 51st B-day. It was great. Jonathan, Lindsay, Parker, Natalie, Tracy, Johnny, and Breene were there as well. Everyone at some point in the night played a little music, well besides Kirk and Lindsay. Coffy, Jonathan, and Tracy played the coolest version of “Friday I’m in Love”. Jonathan then did a couple of his songs, which were amazing. I found an acoustic guitar at my feet so I decided to play a nice un-amplified (meaning that no one could here my mistakes) guitar accompaniment for Jonathan’s songs while Coffy gently played the drums. Near the end of the night Danté play the drums a bit, then before we left almost everyone was playing music. I think Johnny was drumming, Danté was playing accordion, and a couple of other people were playing mandolin. It was great to hang out with everyone again.

Today, I sorted half of my belongings away, and then moved the rest of the belongings to the new place. I also got my cable and Internet running again. Somehow over the past summer, I neglected to renew my driver’s license and my car tag (I must have been really focused on buying this house). I took care of my DL and tags this weekend. In trying to learn more about different types of food and cooking, Danté and I visited the local Asian grocery store. I can’t say that really learned anything from the experience, but I did buy a steamer while I was there. Watch out steamed spinach, here I come. :P

Anyway, tonight is my first night in the new place. I still have a lot if unpacking to do, but I have plenty of time to get it done.
