All moved! Thank God that's over!
Yesterday morning the frame on my IKEA bed/couch broke. The maintenance guys came up and put it back together and it worked fine as a couch that day and as a bed last night. However, this morning when I went to fold up the bed into a couch again, it broke again, the same way as it did yesterday. I guess it's time to replace it. I'll try putting it together one more time. If it does not work, then I shall have them take the frame out of my apartment, and live with the mattress alone until I can get a new bed. That should not take long at all.
In the meantime, I am really comfortable in this apartment. It is very much like my first one, similarly laid out, with just a tiny bit more room and a bit less closet space. The best thing of it all is that I am on the South side of the building and I have SUNlight in my windows. For the first seven years here, both apartments were on the North side, getting winter wind and no sun at all, and in summer no breezes. This place gets the southwesterly winds in summer, and plenty of light as well. Yay!
I am still unpacking, will be for probably another week while I figure out how to arrange everything.
The cats are enjoying the windowsills and the sunbeams, too.
Oh, by the way. I have my in home Internet back, too!
