Paid to be a Daisynerd

Oh My God we got the grant! The proposal I was writing when I was last in Melbourne has been successful! I have a job! As a daisynerd!!!! I get to be the co-ordinator of a project to put together a global list of all the daisies!! All 25000 of them. And I get paid to do what I'm trained to do, deal with names and make lists and organise stuff, my dream pastimes. It's real, I will be paid as a proper postdoc, it's all been worth it. It will start sometime next year between april and June and run for eighteen months, I get to travel to New Zealand and America and England. I am so unbelievably excited. I'm shaking and so full of happiness I could burst (but I promise not to because that would be messy). Oh My God. That was the quickest turnaround on a soltice wish that I've ever had. Huge amounts of YAY.

Edit: it is for eighteen months not six as I initially wrote at 2 am last night :)
