Did you know that you are supposed to drink half your body weight in ounces of water a day? AT LEAST that much. I'd spend my day drinking. that would be almost 3 nalgenes for me. crazy.

i'm sick of feeling sick. headache, nausea, stomach aches. should probably call the doctor tomorrow before work. cuz i hate spending my days off being sick.

Mmm, half your body weight? That's...absolutely ridiculous. I know you're supposed to drink a lot, and I do, but not THAT much. I'm extraordinarily light, and even for someone like me at about 115 pounds (+/- 5 pounds), that would be...calculating...I weigh 1840 ounces, so drink 920 ounces of water, which translates to...7 gallons 24 fl. ounces of water to drink per day. A standard size Nalgene is only a quart, so four of those to a gallon...we're talking close to 29 nalgenes for me to drink in a day ( ... )

I think it's saying more like, half your weight, and then an ounce for every pound. so for you, saying 115, that comes to what? 57.5? So 57.5 ounces...ish. I think that's what's meant, not that you should drink equal to half your weight.

That makes a bit more sense. It's very close to the 8-cups figure I had heard before as a rule of thumb.

yes, caitlin is correct. divide your weight in half, and drink that many ounces of water a day.
