At the end of the last episode, House and Wilson were standing outside their house on the sidewalk. We join them again once they have gone back indoors.
(As usual, click on the pictures to enlarge them)
Here is House putting Footpath to bed. Evan is already in his cot, watching. Wilson isn't in this picture because I moved the slave child-attending bed into the kitchen, to make room for the extra cot.
Later that same evening, Wilson is bathing Footpath in the kitchen sink. He seems to have lost rather more than his pregnancy weight - but don't worry, he'll soon put it back on.
It's Footpath's birthday already! Wilson is not only waving the football rattle but is also admiring House, hence the hearts over his head.
Now it's Wilson's turn to do some toddler-training. Footpath has had her 'smart milk' (you can see the bottle dispenser on the counter behind Wilson) and Wilson is wearing the training acceleration hat. And no, I don't know why the dispenser apparently has a rubber teat (nipple) on top of it.
Oops! I lost track of time and forgot to get Evan a birthday cake. If you don't prompt them to do so, Sims will automatically transition to the next life-stage. Evan was happily playing with the xylophone when he got interrupted.
Everyone else in the household is tremendously excited, although you wouldn't believe it from this picture. Wilson is actually running down the stairs in his eagerness to get there before Evan grows up (too late!) However, House is on the phone (the minions are going to be in trouble for interrupting) and unable to join in. The reason for the number above Evan's head is that he has grown up 'well' - in Sim terms, he had a great birthday, even though I did forgot the cake.
Can you guess from which parent Evan inherited his manners? (Yes, that is food flying all over.) I don't think Wilson is very impressed...
Here's Wilson trying to get fit again after the birth. He's wearing the training hat because the more 'skill points' you have, the better, and the hat speeds up your own training as well as your toddler's.
I decided to put a table by the treadmill: if you tell a Sim to take off the training hat, they won't just dump it on the ground, they have to put it on a table or counter, and will quite happily walk all the way to the kitchen (which is what Wilson did this time, because I was too late with the table). When you buy your Sims a new furniture item, they evaluate it and let you know what they think. I put the table down, Wilson came over for a look, and this was the result:
Evan has started school! House is helping him with his homework. I don't know about you, but I was never allowed to do my homework sitting on the floor like that...
All reading together - awww. House is studying cooking, in case anything should happen to Wilson, Evan is studying his schoolwork, and Wilson is reading fanfic a novel.
Stay tuned for another exciting episode, soonish!
