canada day long weekend
I am a tad late, but here is the low down of my Canada Day Long Weekend. I went to my parents place with two friends from work.
Day One:
We went to the local BBQ for some mini golf and ice cream. We got neither (the mini golf area was far too wet).
we did play on the see-saw for a bit
took a walk along the very crooked boardwalk
We also took a walk around the lake front across from my parents house
apparently I was grossed out by the dead fish, my facial expression says other wise haha
lovely lake. looks like a sandy beach, but it is in fact a million teeny tiny sea shells
Day Two:
One of my friends is from the UK and is here for the summer, and she wanted to go to Marineland.
I touched and fed one of these guys and it was THE coolest thing!

the weather was touch and go and at one point it started pouring. we had no fear though and took refuge under a leaky umbrella.
there was a band playing and I had the best idea to rock out even though it was raining
We went home the next day (Canada Day) and I did nothing (not even fireworks) as I was exhausted from a busy weekend.

+ the candy store being open late and buying our fill of retro candy
+ loads of yummy food made by my mom
+ s'mores on the fireplace
+ seeing my parents and dog
+ good chats and lots of laughter
