I love that you're pursuing a passion for service and spirituality! I can't say it surprises me because I'd secretly thought what a great Witness you'd make (which I hope you'll recognize is meant to be high praise, since our goals are to serve and to live by the Fruitages of the Spirit). I'm delighted for you that you seem to be making a life in line with your values.

I so need that blanket pattern! And I second the ravelry question - if you're on, friend me (Kasey821)!

My latest knitting project is making Hello Kitty hats for my nieces. So easy, and so cute. Next up, I'm working on a 4th Doctor scarf for my brother, and then Charlie wants a blanket. In between, I'll be running The Humble Stitch Project again this year, knitting scarves for the homeless and blanket pieces for AIDS orphans. It should be fun!

I do recognize the compliment, so thanks. I'm pretty happy where I am, but the knowledge that you think I have the chops for being a Witness is nice.

The blanket pattern is one that I'm adapting from a wooly thoughts pattern (because that one was only 1' by 2') It is shaping up to be very cool. And I shall need to join Ravelry very soon, it seems!

Fun projects you have!

LOL. I promise, I wasn't recruiting! And thank you! I just looked it up and bought the pattern. I was looking for something to make for one of my nieces and this is PERFECT.

Oh, awesome! I really like the pattern - easy to read and nothing complicated in it at all. All I'm doing to make it bigger is essentially knit it six times - three on top, three on bottom. I'm only about a third way through the top row, but you can already see the effect. Very cool.

Sweet! You said it comes out 1x2? I'm thinking that I'll do it as a scarf with one on each end. I figure if I follow the pattern from bottom to top on one end and top to bottom on the other, that oughta work, yes?

Well, that's what the pattern says. Mine is probably going to be a bit larger because of the yarn I'm using. But we'll see. Sounds like a good plan though!
