I love Castle, so much. It's about all the tv I watch. And they recently had a tiny part for Jacob! (well, Carmen, but you know what I mean).
Gave up on Stargate Universe, because it was NOT my Stargate--my stargate had mostly competent people, and this is just pretty horrible and depressing, all around. I gave it 4 episodes, also watched the later first season ones Jack was in, and was relatively sorry that I had. I adore Jack and that was not really him. (to me).
I love Eureka and just remembered there is to be a Christmas time show? Maybe 2? I must watch for that!
I'm glad you're doing that for your grandfather. I've done a written "history" of my family, in different parts, mostly for my nephews, niece, and now grand-niece. Because when you think of it, your grandparents are usually in their fifties before they ever have grandkids, and therefore those grandkids never know what they were like at younger ages, really. I was lucky to have my grandparents knowing what was going on until they were in their mid-eighties, and when I was in my twenties, (and they in their early seventies) I asked them a lot of family questions and they told me a lot, which I wrote down. I found out things their son, my dad, didn't know, simply because he didn't ask, and by that time in their life, they were less embarrassed, maybe, about certain things. So I found out some family "secrets", later confirmed by a great aunt. A person's contemporaries and friends do know more about them, in many ways, or at least differently, than their own children and grandchildren might know about them. Food for thought.
