He had come prepared this time. It wasn't much, but the broken chair leg he'd found while scavenging his apartment building would do for the moment. It was just a short walk, anyway, a chance to stretch his legs and get out of the apartment. He did not hide away, and he was going to prove it, hence his deliberate pass by the Rai Rai Ken. With luck, one of them would see him as he walked by.

As he wandered, however, he noticed the cafe nearby, and debated stopping to make an entry. He could use a bit of conversation at the moment, but he was so close to the restaurant... Hm... A small diversion couldn't hurt.

The demon opened the door and stepped in, beginning to look around for a computer. Instead, he found a girl. "Oh! Forgive moi for barging in as I did. How crude of me!" He hoped she didn't live here. Surely there were other places that were open, yes? There was no need for a young lady to sleep in a restaurant...

Nanami stood from her seat as soon as someone else entered the cafe. She turned towards him and froze. Was there really a person there? Or was she so delirious that she was seeing things now? But he spoke... in a voice that she'd never heard before. So she clearly wasn't making this up.. Right?

Immediately putting on the waterworks, she ran to him. "I was afraid I'd be here for weeks!" she cried. "Everyone said to stay put... but no one would come get me..." She turned her large, purple, doe-like eyes up on the stranger, her lower lip quivering.

Vyers could only stare as the young woman suddenly began to cry. He stood stock still, not knowing what to do for a moment, but as she spoke, he had to forcibly contain a groan. Fake, of course. And she believed that he would fall for this so easily? Well, he wouldn't, but still... And she was likely just frightened. Being plucked from one world and dropped into another could be quite a shock.

"Ah, lovely Mademoiselle, there is no need for tears! Where is it that you need to go? The Dark Adonis shall lead you wherever it is you desire," he said to her with the usual extravagance.

As he spoke, Nanami took a moment to inspect her savior. Purple hair (like Himemiya's), red eyes and... Wings? Nanami shuffled backwards a bit at this discovery, bringing her fingertips gingerly to her lips.

Her tears now evaporating, Nanami hiccupped as he spoke. "D-dark Adonis?" she repeated quietly. For some reason he reminded her of the Chairman... "I... I don't know. I just arrived here and I have no clue what's going on."

He immediately noticed her apprehension. "Indeed! I Vyers, the Dark Adonis, a nobleman gifted with both strength and beauty. Ah, but you are taken aback by it, are you not? There is no need to fear, beautiful mademoiselle! A demon I may be, but I possess a kind, pure heart."

"You mentioned that you had been on the journals earlier, yes? What have you learned from them so far?"

Nobleman? Then he couldn't be that bad... "Demon?" Nanami struggled to recollect herself. What would her onii-sama think of this reaction? They were always to embrace beauty of any kind, for it was a gift to be treasured. But the wings and eyes had thrown her off...

"Oh! Er.. yes. I haven't had the chance to do much else... But some girl told me there were monsters out there? I really didn't believe her... It's kind of absurd," she scoffed, tucking a lock of hair behind her ears. "Isn't it?" she added, this time unsure of herself. After all, if there were demons here... then monsters would be possible too, wouldn't they?

"One would think so, but, sadly, it is true. Terrifying creatures do indeed roam these streets. They are rather quick and pack a nasty bite, but, luckily, with enough blunt force trauma, anything is possible!" he commented cheerfully, showing the chair leg he had with him. "It is a rather crude weapon, but it serves its purpose well enough for the time being."

"The smaller creatures drop from a larger one. It normally keeps to Central Park in the north or the waters surrounding this island, but its passes through the city can prove to be quite... damaging, as you may have seen. I would not recommend fighting it any time soon," he continued.

Nanami normally didn't hold her tongue when she was upset, but this situation called for it. She eyed the chair leg that he held proudly, wondering if that would work well enough in the end?

"So the tinier ones are.. spawned from the larger one?" she repeated before glancing out the window. So a monster was the cause of this devastation... He didn't look like he was joking about it either. "And no one knows why we're here? Or even how we got here?"

She anxiously tugged on her cuffs, at a loss for what to do. This was all just hopeless. "Without onii-sama... I just don't know what to do," she muttered, more to herself than anything. But Touga wasn't there... and there were monsters about. She needed to make nice and figure things out. She glanced back at the demon with a heavy sigh. "I'm Nanami Kiryuu."

Well, it wasn't so much pride as it was that he had a weapon and wouldn't be caught by surprise this time. Oh no, this time he was prepared! Hmhmhm...!

"I am not entirely sure how the little ones come to be," he admitted, waving a hand airily. He wasn't sure he wanted to know, either. "If someone knows, they are keeping it a secret, though I should hope that isn't the case! In any case, there are some people investigating the matter even as we speak. Should anyone find something out, the populace would be notified in an instant. Mm?"

It seemed as though his reassurances were needed after all, if he had heard correctly.

In her distress, Nanami wasn't exactly the best at telling between different expressions. Right now she was more concerned with what was going on and how to take care of it... If she was ever to be reunited with Touga...

She sat down and placed her head in her hands, fingers running through her hair. Another moment passed before glanced up at him again. "How can you place so much trust in complete strangers? You don't know them... How do you know they won't turn around and stab you in the back the first chance they get?"

Vyers chuckled. Ah, a familiar question... "Simple. I do not," he replied. And it was the truth. One never knew--especially in a place like the Netherworld--who was a traitor and who was not (...although perhaps the Netherworld was a bad example when he put it that way). "But risks must be taken to get by. Cruel as the world may be, it can be kind as well. The same applies to people."

Well, it seemed as though it might be a little while longer before they were to leave, so Vyers took a seat himself, waiting for the girl's response.

It took a little searching, but Allen found the right internet cafe. He pushed the door open with a hand and glanced back to make sure he wasn't being followed by crabs. He couldn't help, but be a bit paranoid about the things. The boy blinked as he shut the door behind and caught sight of a girl and Vyers. "Ah, hello again Vyers sir."

He nodded in greeting before he looked at Nanami. "You're Miss Nanami right?"

Nanami hadn't expected him to respond like that. "But risks such as your life..." she trailed off. She gnawed on her lower lip and shook her head. "But kind people are far and few between. To even find that one kind person, you must go through several others that don't deserve your trust..."

Her purple eyes slid over as another person joined them. That must've been the boy who she was speaking with over the network. "That's correct," she said gently. "You're Allen-kun?"

"And you would rather find no one at all in order to protect yourself?" Vyers asked. He would have continued, but was interrupted by Allen's entrance.

"Young sir! I did not think I would be seeing you again so soon. What a pleasant surprise!" he exclaimed, standing. The young lady must have put up a notice and Allen had responded.

"Ah, I do hope that I am not intruding..."

He didn't know what had been said before, but he had caught the tail end of what Vyers had been saying. He smiled softly as he nodded. "Yes, I'm Allen." His smile brightened as he looked at Vyers. "It's a very pleasant surprise to see you again, sir. How have you been?"

Allen shook his head slightly as he pushes his bangs out of his eyes. "No, you're not intruding at all, sir. Would you...come with me to help Miss Kiryuu find lodgings?" Two armed people was better than one, besides he wanted to have another chance to talk with Vyers more. He looked at Nanami then. "Would that be alright with you?"

Nanami stared at Vyers for a moment or so, gnawing on her lip. She wanted Touga. She wanted to find her onii-sama to protect her. He was the only one who ever protected her in the past... So why should now be any different?

She'd begun to space out when the demon apologzied for intruding and the boy offered to let him come along. She glanced over at Allen and blinked. "Would it--? Oh, of course it would be alright."

She shrugged her shoulders. "If those monsters are as horrible as everyone says they are.. I suppose the larger the group of us, the better off we are." She turned her gaze downward, onto the rose crest ringht she wore on her left ring finger. Where would she find a sword at here/?
