Kida looked thoughtfully at the huge machine. Though she had assumed she had travelled here by foot, she now knew the truth. Something had transitioned perfectly from one world to another. And now, it was time to return home. And thankfully, no time would have passed. Kida smiled a little at the thought that her people would be as safe as when she left them. Milo wouldn't have had time to worry.

How she missed Milo.

But even then, she felt the remorse of having to leave her friends. Giselle and Miwako... MacGyver. Even Roy, as much of a womanizer as he was.

And then there was Larsa. How she longed to show him her home. It was astounding she had grown to trust the youth so much. But even then she knew he had his own duties.

With a somber expression she began to seek out the young emperor one last time.

Likewise, Larsa had been looking for Kida. Not much needed to be said between them, for as easily as the answer had come to him, he knew it would have been the same for her. They didn't have much of a choice in the matter ( ... )

Kida returned the embrace tightly, and didn't even try to hold back the tear. "I would expect no less from you," she smiled sadly. "You are the first I told my true history to, and only one of two. I know I could trust my people to you if the need ever arose." Larsa had become her family, and someone she respected highly for his sense of duty to his people. His altruism was something she truly admired ( ... )

Larsa followed Kida willingly, knowing that whatever she was going to tell him or show him was important. He trusted her implicitly, probably more than he trusted anyone. There was just something they shared, and it probably had to do with the fact that they were both rulers ( ... )

Kida bowed to him, but it was a bow reserved most often for the presence of Atlantean royalty. She knelt on her right knee, and she put her hands together in front of her lowered face almost as if she were praying. The last time she had done so was for her own father nearly a century ago. ""Watch well over your kingdom and pay attention to when you must step down. You may now see nations rise and fall, but may none of them be your own." Her smile would have told him she knew she was telling him the obvious.

"I would like that very much. I know of a great explorer, and I will tell him of you. Perhaps together we may find you again," she said fondly. Then again, that man was much more than an explorer to her. She swallowed hard and pressed her lips together. "May your people be as happy as your spirit is pure. I will miss you, young emperor."

(OOC: And chat's conclusion last night was that since FF is full of magic crystals anyway, it'll work.)

Larsa's throat was starting to stick by the time Kida made her bow and he couldn't stop the single tear that slid down his cheek as she lowered her face. At least he wiped it away before she looked at him and stood again. Still, his eyes had always betrayed his true feelings and now was no different.

"My people shall know no more hardship if I am able to prevent it," he told her then, though they both knew his words were unnecessary. Kida knew him well by now. His priorities were very easy to tell.

"May you always be safe, Lady Kida. I shall miss you as well." And with any luck, they'd be able to see each other again, somehow.

For once, words failed him, and so he offered Kida a final hug, something to express his deep sorrow at losing her, sorrow that transcended even losing his closest family members.

So much sorrow. So much hardship. He could only hope to keep his people safe from this sort of pain.

((Score! \o/ Did you see the Larsa epilogue I posted?))

The embrace was welcomed with her own tight hug. Some portion of her wished to take him home if she only could, to take him under her wing and show him her world with the same enthusiasm a child does. Her friendship with him was surpassed only by Milo Thatch, who she now knew for 95 years. But she knew better, and could no more ask him to do that than to leave her own people. Even then, that wasn't doable.

"Please tell me when you are ready to leave. I wish to see you off. I will follow after."

((I HAVE NOW XD Oh man, this is making me cry. Interestingly, if it had been a year since, Larsa would not have appeared to age. This is one of my fave CRs ever. You aren't in Paixao, are you???))

Deep inside, Larsa wished he could have taken Kida up on an offer that would never be made. They both knew where they were needed and there was no changing that.

"You have my word that I will. I still desire to meet with a few others, but once I am ready, I will be sure to find you."

It meant a lot to him that she wanted to see him leave, but he also knew it would be that much harder on both of them to watch and know that the other watched. To stand aside and part forever. Yet, it must be done.

Larsa's decision had been made. And he would not back down from it.

((SAME <3 I am! and I currently play Larsa but idk for how much longer. Also, I get the feeling he'd take it off every so often so he'd age a little, just enough so he doesn't look 12 for a hundred years or so XD))

"I do as well. I shall see you soon." As difficult as she knew it would be to watch him go, Kida knew she'd regret not doing so for the rest of her life, as long as it may be in comparison to those who surrounded her. It was not every century that one could make a friend like him.

Kida planned to keep him in her prayers for eons to come.

((*Sigh* Probably good. If I end up going to Paixao, I really shouldn't app more than just Riku, since he's grown into a louder muse than Kida. Are you leaving the RPG or dropping him? O.o And he'll be taking it off often. He'll age 314 times slower. ;) Basically a day a year.))

"Indeed you shall."

Larsa gave Kida another bow and a smile to go with it before he turned and walked off to find others he needed to say good-bye to, crystal clutched tightly in his hand. Kida would be in his thoughts for as long as he had that crystal and he didn't plan on parting with it any time soon.

((just dropping Celes for sure, maybe him too, but not the RP. I think Hayley would cry if another Yuna dropped on her xD))
