My, it was crowded, wasn't it? But that was to be expected. After spending so much time in this place, anyone would want to return home. Or... to spend their time together somewhere else. Ah, what a wonderful ending this was. Although one that seemed all too bittersweet.

Vyers scanned the room with a wistful smile. It was time to say his goodbyes. I hope they will forgive me for this. It was not his place to stay, and she was probably wondering where he had gone. But he would be returned to that moment, would he not? So perhaps she would not need worry at all.

The smile fell from the demon's face as he eyed the device. Even knowing he would go back... It still hurt a little.

After getting Sara healed and figuring out their course of action, Zidane was much more inclined to move around and catch who he could. Vyers would certainly not be ignored by the thief, and Zidane was quickly sliding up alongside the demon.

"Hey! Vyers! Good to see you still made it back outta this alive!" He flashes a grin and claps a hand to one of the other's arm. "So've you gotten things figured out? Squared away?" He beams.

Vyers adopted a cheerier demeanor at Zidane's approach, though it was obvious that it wasn't entirely a real one. "Of course I made it out alive," he replied proudly (oh the irony of such a statement), "Did you ever doubt moi?"

Vyers' smile wavered at the next question. "Well... yes, actually."

"Oh, I don't know. We did meet with you all beaten and crab-bitten, after all."

He pulls away, folding his arms up behind his head, still remaining amused, but then his expression changes to one more of curiosity and interest when Vyers speaks again. "Hm? So, where are you heading off too?"

He could have his own wishes. Hey, what can he say? He's gotten use to the demon being around. Just how long has it even been? Man...

"Hng... Th-that is an entirely different matter."

"Well," Vyers began in explanation, his gaze unconsciously flicking upward. "There is someone waiting for me. It would be incredibly polite to keep her waiting, would it not?"

Damn.

Zidane shifts a bit, not incredibly uncomfortable, but... well.

He frowns, just a bit. "So you're going home then, huh? Sara and I, we're going to Manhattan. Too bad, you could've joined us." He manages to get his grin half back. "We can't get you as a roommate again?"

Sara heard the last comment from Zidane as she walked up behind him. So, Vyers was going to go back to his home world. It made sense, considering what he had told her when she had her breakdown over Zidane's disappearance. She stopped, standing beside Zidane, hands in pockets as she looked over at Vyers.

"This means no victory dinner, you know."

Vyers honestly hadn't been expecting that. "So... you are going to the 'real' Manhattan, are you?" Well, that part he had been expecting, considering how close the two of them had become. But inviting him along?

"Hmhm, as touched as I am, as I told Zidane, there is someone--" He stopped halfway through his sentence, noticing Sara's current state. "Mademoiselle! What in the world happened to you?!"

Well, Zidane wasn't exactly above snitching on someone, especially when he was still a little annoyed about it (though he couldn't really complain, a bullet was better than Clover).

"She got herself shot," he says, then decides he should be nice enough to add, "protecting me." But he's already given Sara enough heat for that, himself. "No victory dinner, that's harsh. You know how well Sara cooks."

Someone's waiting for him, huh? Well, that was important and all, but...

Sara rolled her eyes at Zidane's explanation. That was the simple version. He didn't add in that she had been healthy, he had been sick, and it was a worst scenario situation.

"Yes, I got shot. But I'm fine now, ok?"

"Y-You were shot?! Mademoiselle, that was incredibly irresponsible!" he lectured. "If there was no other way, that would be different, but surely you could have thought of a different way to protect him that did not involve putting yourself in harm's way. Even if you were protecting him, did you not stop and think of how people might have reacted had you been killed?"

Knowing Zidane, he had likely given the woman his own piece of mind for the incident, but it was important that she understand. As much as he appreciated the bravery of such an act, it was also incredibly foolish.
