Rika paced the floor of the apartment, lost in thought. Satoshi was here. If Satoshi had been brought from the clinic--had been left to wander the streets in such a state--Keiichi and the others were in grave danger. She had to see him as soon as she could. But there was the question of what could be done about it. Dr. Irie was not here; there was no medicine. The only thing Rika could do was hope her presence would help to calm the condition somewhat.
Rika wished dearly that Hanyuu was there to help. Her pacing continued, as she waited. Her friends were here, and this was a good thing; better than thinking they might have been left to succumb to the disease while she was away. It was just a matter of keeping them safe here.
That would be difficult.
