He saw the message on the computer, but he was going to make sure he didn't need to say good bye to her. Not now, not ever. He was certian he could handle whatever they threw their way. He'd dealt with worse, he'd survived the end of his world.
He went to where Aerith was and took her hand his his. "I won't let anything happen to you," He said to her, "I promise"
All they had to do was wait this out, and they would be fine, right?
