Kairi held a fist her her chest, her face full of fear and determination. She followed him out. What had been a peaceful evening together had become something critical. Now they knew.

At the sound of Sora's voice she looked up.

...Only to find him simply gone.

"S-Sora?" Her eyes went wide and she looked around frantically. "SORA!!! He's gone!!!" Looking to the others, Kairi's mouth was agape, unable to express the shock she felt.

Bobby was sitting on one of the couches. His face was set in a scowl and he was deep in thought. He had no idea what to do and he felt lost. Usually he was the planner, the leader, the person others turned to. It hadn't exactly worked that way here, but he still wanted to help.

He was so lost in thought that he didn't look to the doorway until something flickered. Bobby turned to look and noticed Sora's friend, Kairi, looking upset. His brain registered a second later what had happened and he felt his jaw drop a little. Bobby rose from his seat, "What the hell?!"

Donald had been trying to visit his friends before... something happened. He turned a corner, his little ducky feet padding quietly on the ground, and spotted his friends Sora and Kairi!

With a quack of delight, he hurried toward them, running right past a fellow relaxing on a couch... only to see Sora just... just Vanish! "SORA!" he squawked, skidding up to where Sora was in a panic. He dropped to the floor, his soft white fingers inspecting the floor for traces of magic... but finding nothing.

Riku had been following Donald. He didn't have the late shift tonight, but that didn't stop him from being a nightowl. Unlike Donald, he didn't seem too delighted to see the other two. He'd seen the message too, which is why he wanted to see Sora now.

"Sora, did you--" And then he was gone. No sound, no nothing. It was like he blinked him away. "No... NO, we were RIGHT HERE." He passed a hand through where Sora was before looking to Kairi. She looked like she might be shaking a little.

He put a hand on her arm. "Tagruato. we've got to find them. NOW."

Goofy had been with Riku and Donald when they turned the corner, his arm lifted to wave and a big smile on his face.

When Sora vanished, he took Goofy's smile with him.

"S-Sora?" Goofy just stood there for a moment, staring helplessly into space. For a moment, even the King's knight just didn't know what to say.

Then, a moment later he remembered himself, and that he didn't need to say anything at all. Moving past the others, he went over to Kairi and wrapped her in a big hug.

Kairi looked up at Riku with a complete loss of words. But when Goofy hugged her, she hugged back tightly. "W-why? What could we have done different?" With her face in Goofy's shoulder, she asked, "What are they doing to him now?."

After a moment, Kairi ran her arm over her face. "Where... Where do we start?" As upset as she was, and as much as it looked like she still needed to cry, she wasn't just giving up.

Bobby stared at the spot where Sora had been. This was how it was going to happen? No warning, just poof? That...that was SICK! It didn't matter that they had guarded the Healers...it was like wasted time. Bobby clenched his fists. There was no way it was ending like this.

Riku's response is what got him back out of his thoughts. "How?," his voice was raised a little, but not in anger, just to try to get Riku to understand the futility of his statement, "Where are we supposed to find him! We have no idea where he is!"

He felt a little bad though, especially seeing Kairi in the state she was in. He didn't want to say it, but he had a feeling they would find out soon what they were doing to Sora.

Bobby sighed, "Sora's probably not the only one either..."

Donald didn't always like Goofy's ideas, but in situations like this, that big dopey dog always seemed to know just what to do. Taking a cue from his pal, Donald pushed himself up from the ground, staring at the spot Sora had been just moments before... and then turned to hug Kairi and Goofy. Hugs are stronger with more people after all.

However, in spite of his unuusal quiet, Bobby's comment roused the duck's voice. "Wak? We'll find a way. We'll find Sora because he's our friend." The duck's expression was grim, but determined. "If we've all made it this far together, this will only slow us down."

Riku moved aside when the others moved in for a hug. He wasn't sure if that would start Kairi crying worse. And frankly he wasn't sure what to do. But he still looked to her with concern.

"I don't know," he answered Bobby and Kairi. "We need to check the network. Go outside. look for ANYTHING different that might be a clue. I'm not going to sit around to find out what happens next."

He continued as he went into Sora's room and pushed over the computer chair hard enough to knock it over. Riku logged into his account remotely and called to the others. "He's probably not. But after this, it doesn't matter what we post on the network. And hopefully others will think so too. We'll know soon enough."

Goofy let Donald into the hug, grateful his buddy was here. He didn't know if he'd be able to do this without the wizard by his side.

"That's right, they ain't gonna have him for long. Wherever he is, we'll go looking, and we'll find him. We're friends, and that means we're connected."

He put his hand in the middle. "All for one, and one for all."

Donald likely felt Kairi tremble a bit. This was the second time she'd seen Sora simply vanish, but this time was full of more uncertainty than she's ever known. Darkness had been bad enough. She let a hand hang down to hold the back of Donald's head.

The girl listened Kairi rubbed her eyes and put her hand on top of Goofy's. "Yeah. All for one and one for all!" She smiled weakly as a tear ran down her face.

At least Riku had a plan. Even if it wasn't much.

Bobby had been talking about finding the guy who did this, but of course they were more concerned about finding Sora. He couldn't blame them and it was likely the two would be in the same space. Bobby smiled a bit, it may have been hopeless...but these guys were really determined and Bobby couldn't help but feed off of that.

Bobby walked over to the others. They were right. Bobby had experienced the impossible things friends could do when they worked together. "Hobey ho," he said under his breath after putting his hand on top of Kairi's and Goofy's. The phrase not might have been familiar to them, but it was a saying that he had picked up in his own travels and it essentially meant: Let's Go.

Donald put his little hand on top, sandwiching Kairi's and Bobby's hands between his and Goofy's. Sure, Bobby's response wasn't what he expected, but he took it as an agreement nonetheless. "All for one, and one for all!" He quacked, before giving a curt nod, making the zipper pull on his odd hat clank a bit.

With a little hop, the duck disengaged from the hug, and slammed his little fist into his open palm. "C'mon! Riku's right, we gotta start looking now! the sooner we're all together again, the better!"

Though Riku didn't participate in the hug, after a few seconds even he put his hand in the center. "Hm. All for one. One for all." He smirked a little. Sora would want this. Now it was just a matter of finding him.

Riku sighed through his nose. "No. No!" He slammed a fist on the desk. His expression was made even more intense by the glow of the computer screen. "There's two... No, three others, now. Healers, too, I think."
