Checking Vincent had said he had no intentions of letting what happened before happen again, but, considering the circumstances, it was best to be careful. The way the man had spoken hadn't instilled the greatest confidence within the unsent, not to mention the fact that saying and doing were two entirely different things. A check-in would do. Nothing long. Enough to make sure Vincent wasn't going to make a decision he would regret.
