Characters: Billy, Teddy - anyone else resident to the YA clubhouse who feels like dropping in feel free (I think that's Tommy, Kate, Temeraire and Pietro now?)
Content: On the bright side, Billy gets to see his boyfriend for the first time in months. On the not so bright side ... well, everyone's going to die.
Location: the YA clubhouse
Time: Evening, the day the thumb drive is unlocked.
Warnings: AAAH AAAAH WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE also probably fluff.
Billy wasn't sure how to feel about the fact that it didn't sound like the news of the files that had been found on the salvaged thumb drive had reached Teddy yet. On the one hand, that meant he didn't know - it meant he wasn't worrying, he didn't think Billy was in any kind of mortal peril ... on the other hand, that meant Billy would have to tell him, and he really wasn't looking forward to that.
He was so caught up in anxiety over the whole business of the files that it only really hit him halfway back to the clubhouse that Teddy was actually here. Teddy, who he hadn't seen in more than three months, who he missed so bad some days that it hurt - he was here. He was okay. He was at the clubhouse, with the others, and Billy was going to get to see him and that one little bit of this crapsack world would be okay. Until the ominous powers-that-be decided they were going to make good on their decision to terminate him, anyway ... in which case he should probably make the most of what minimal time he had left, right?
He pedaled faster after that, and opened the door a little more violently than he needed to when he finally reached the clubhouse. "I'm back!" he yelled, leaning his bike against the wall and scanning the immediate vicinity - hopefully, but prepared to be disappointed, to have imagined the whole thing or for Teddy to have gone out and managed to get himself horribly murdered by crabs in the space between now and then because - well, that would be just Billy's luck.
