Hotsuma strode through the hotel entrance in a surprisingly un-ninja like manner, scarf and visor peeled away so as not to alarm anyone. He'd heard of the Bryant Park Hotel, heard that a number of other outsiders were staying here. But up until now he'd never actually bothered to pay a visit and get more than a passing glance at the building and its tenants. That was going to change today.
A quick once-over showed him the lobby was devoid of life, save for a kitten apparently snoozing in the sunlight beaming down on a couch. The last of the Oboro paced over and sat himself down at that couch, pondering how exactly he was going to go about exploring this building.
"Ho---" The ninja was suddenly shaken free of his reverie. His eyes whipped left and right, searching for whoever it was that'd suddenly called his attention. It was the ingrained reaction of someone whose mind was trying to block out the fact that a cat just spoken to him.
Slowly his eyes dropped to the gray furred kitten sharing the couch, and he leaned forward ever so slightly. "...you can talk?"
The initial shock of a talking cat faded after awhile. He'd seen stranger and more terrifying, though this was a welcome change. "Hai, although I don't actually live here. I stay with Dr. Jackson at his apartment complex." He lifted his head and frowned a bit against the sunlight. "Life in this city has been... interesting, to say the least."
Codename Cloverfield? He nodded, then his eyes flicked to the window as if they were going to see it looming by the skyline right that moment. "I think half the outsiders here could cut that beast down if we were at our full strength. But I'm told there are... three of them now."
"You mean those crabs. They are quite troublesome in a fight. And there are plenty of them." He glanced at that twitching tail. "I suppose you've no trouble avoiding them though."
Hotsuma rested his chin on his fist. "If it helps any, they must think we all are. Though the smaller and faster you happen to be, the more fun it must be to chase you." He realized how frightening that must have sounded so he changed his tone. "Then again, you're not lacking in friends to come to your rescue, are you?"

"Mya?" she let out confused, as she woke, "Who are you?"

"You is new to this home?" she asked, blinking up at the man. She certainly had never seen him before.
