As much as Kang appreciated that people were worried about him, it was getting a little tiring having to keep reassuring that he was fine; he'd known that he would get a lot of responses, but he hadn't expected that many who genuinely cared. So, after Kaylee and Jayne had shown up, he'd decided to take a break for a while.
Company having left around an hour ago, the bozak had moved to his bed to read a book, with his back against the headrest. His side still hurt, but it'd died down to a dull ache at least. Nothing he wasn't used to.
