It had been too long since he'd danced, stopped worrying and gotten into the music and just really danced.
It was past time to fix that, so he did.
He'd found speakers and a CD player and hauled them down to the hotel lobby, along with a CD he'd known for years and only just managed to find again: Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band's Greatest Hits. Hitting random on the player pulled up track 7, and he was grinning before the distinctive piano intro even began.
"Just take those old records off the shelf!" Sixteen counts of intro and half a line of lyrics were all it took for him to get right into the music and into his dance - fast, hard, and funky. Miles away from Los Angeles and worlds away from the Music, it was old time rock and roll that grounded him. Miles away from everything he knew, it still brought him home.
