Characters: Diegodot and
anyone who wants a "job" from him. Content: You all thought he was looking for coffee again, didn't you?
Location: Library Hotel, the lounge on the 14th floor
Time of day: Afternoon
Warnings: None.
Notes: A very informal meeting, though we'll still do it in party-style. Feel free to thread amongst yourselves before Diego's very brief speech. If you'd like to speak to the host, just let me know. Diego's "employment opportunities" will run fairly concurrent with
the river plot, so if your character is participating in that they may not be able to work for Godot at the same time.
It was the most informal job interview he had ever been to, though he thought of it more as a meeting than a job interview. And it was less of a meeting than a mixer at the moment. Diego sat casually on a sofa in the middle of the Library Hotel lounge, the table next to him filled to capacity with three steaming coffeepots still in the machine and all the styrofoam cups Maya could dig out from the closets around here. There was a pitcher of milk and a bowl of sugar available, along with a small handwritten sign that read "ASK FOR SEASONING." Diego was very serious about that. Maya took the opportunity to really get into it and placed out trays of crackers and cookies too, straight out of the boxes.
Approaching the host and asking him to get on with things would do no good-- he met every query of the sort with his usual arrogant smile and a silent shake of his head. Nobody ever said he didn't have a flair for the dramatic.
