Sara hadn't moved from her spot on the bed, only leaving to get her computer and see if it was true. No activity on there telling anyone where he was going, or a note, which was normally left somewhere in the room.

He was really gone. Without a trace.

Had her brain been functioning properly, she would have started looking for something...anything, that could have led to where Zidane disappeared off to. But, she wasn't exactly thinking straight.

Vyers was on his way, she knew, but she kept staring at the computer screen, eyes red from the crying that she had just forced herself to stop a few minutes ago.

"Come in, it's unlocked." She said when she heard the knock. Sure, she should have checked who it was. But really, she didn't care.

A small frown appeared on Vyers's face at that, but he turned the handle and entered. She didn't look to be in a very good state at the moment, though he supposed he shouldn't have expected anything else. He would have thought she'd have moved away from the computer, though. Ah, but grief was a strange emotion, indeed. One never knew what to expect when it showed itself.

He shut the door behind him and stood in the middle of the living room, watching her with a slight tilt of his head. He would let her speak first. He didn't know exactly what the situation was, after all, and only had the barest idea as to what she was feeling. It was better for her to decide what she wanted to say, was it not?

"He's gone, Vyers." Was all she said, finally closing the laptop screen and looking over at him, shoving the computer away. "I got back, and he was just gone..." She started fiddling with the blankets on the bed.

"He told me he got healed though...that's good, right?"

Vyers nodded. "That it is. Wherever he is, he should be fine, hm?" he replied. "You have that, and I am more than certain that he is still thinking of you."

"And there is always the chance that you will see him again," he continued. "Dear mademoiselle, you cannot give up hope so easily."

"Who knows?" Sara said shrugging. "He's probably already forgot about me. I'm not that memorable." She looked back over at him, with a sad smile on her face.

"Honestly, I don't know if I would want him coming back here. He's safer there, wherever home is."

Vyers crossed his arms and took a few steps forward, standing next to the bed. "That is exactly what I was talking about." He sighed heavily and put a hand to his forehead. "Such sadness is hardly befitting a lovely lady as yourself. But you are correct, it is probably best that he is somewhere safe."

"In any case, do you believe he would put up with that sort of attitude?"

"Probably not." She said, smiling at the memory of the last time she'd been this sad, when Zack was gone...and how Zidane hadn't really put up with it at the time.

"Give me a while, I'll be better..." Give her time to hide it all, pretty much.

Vyers shook his head. "That may be, but you still are not following my advice." He had no plans on letting that go.

"What do you want me to do then?" She asked, raising an eyebrow slightly. She wasn't that good at showing her emotions, she was so used to hiding them from work, and her life in general.

This was her way of coping.

"I already said it," Vyers replied. "Voice your concerns. Speak. You should be true to yourself, mademoiselle." He looked around the room a moment before grabbing a chair, pulling it over to sit in front of her. "You only do yourself harm by lying to yourself."

He paused a moment, thinking. "If not to moi, then to the air around you?" He chuckled faintly, a small smile on his face. "Sometimes it is a very good listener."

"It was always bad to vocalize things, when I was younger. I guess I grew up into that mentality." She shrugged. "I don't do it well." She pulled the blankets up to her chin, trying to make herself as small as she possibly could.

"I miss him, Vyers. He hasn't been gone that long...and it just hurts so much."

"Then now is a good time to start," he told her.

His gaze flickered toward the ground as she began to explain and a brief sadness appeared in his eyes, but it was gone in an instant as he looked back up at her. "It is to be expected. It may be some time before you begin to feel differently. But the time you had was worth it, was it not?"

"True." She said, smiling and remembering some of the good, and bad times of having Zidane around. She felt the tears start to fall as she did so, and didn't care to even try and stop them at this point.

"How long does it take for the pain to go away?" She knew the answer to that, but she needed to vocalize it.

"It... doesn't, I'm sorry to say. But it dulls over time. How much time it takes is difficult to say. It depends on the person and the circumstances." Vyers forced a smile. "But you know he is alive, at least. And you have those memories of him with you to treasure."

He sighed, leaning back and watching her a moment. "It is little help to you now, but perhaps once you're feeling better, it will be of more use."

"But do I?" She mused, remembering what Zack had told her so long ago. He was supposed to be dead...who knew if Zidane was going home to face his death. "Is he alive back home?" She flopped backwards and pulled the covers over her head, somewhat like a child would.

"I'm hearing what you're saying, Vyers. It's just not helping right now, you're right." Her voice came out muffled from under the blanket, but she didn't care.

Vyers sighed and shook his head. It seemed there was no way to comfort her now. The demon put his elbow on his knee and his head in his hand. As much as he would rather not have admitted it, she had a point. He... was enough of an example, after all. "Would he not have mentioned something in his time here if he wasn't? I imagine that would lead to plenty of confusion," Vyers said, gesturing as he talked. "There's no lack of people here who have done the same, is there not?"

He did hope she would come to understand in time. It was... odd, to be talking about such a thing with someone. He wasn't entirely sure what to do or how to go about it, but he had done the best he could.
