I still have my health, at least that's what they tell me

Characters: Rosiel, Doctor Angelicus
Content: After hearing from her on the network, Rosiel wanted to meet with Doctor A. Why? He actually didn't say...
Location: Rockefeller University Hospital
Time of day: Probably rather inappropriately soon after he invited himself
Warnings: Rosiel's still as batty as ever...

It was not the most sensible way to go about visiting someone, to let yourself in at the front door and simply go wandering around to look for them. And maybe it was even worse to stop looking for them entirely, and to duck into one small room and start poking around at things that didn't belong to you.

Heaven had hospitals, research facilities. They weren't so different. Maybe the machines were more advanced, and the experimentations a bit more... extreme, but overall, the basic principles were the same. Rosiel balanced a large syringe in his hands, admiring the fine point at the end, and smiling to think of a man who had been fond of using needles, of a woman who had gotten so much more than she bargained for trying to show kindness to a miserable creature in a place like this.

Ah, to go back and finish what he started! That was all he needed, the cold satisfaction of victory. What could be more satisfying than to crush Setuna as completely as he'd crushed Sevothtarte, to crush Hell's army and laugh at Katan's alarm over his cruelty? That would make him feel better. He didn't need Alexiel's words to be true. He didn't need to be loved by dead Alexiel and hated by God. What good would that do him? It would only rob him of the only purpose he had left.

The fact that he'd started laughing to himself went more or less below his own notice.
