Claire had been in the bar when she'd seen the parade back, and had been quick to relocate to the clinic. She wasn't helping matters any at the moment, leaning against a wall and glaring directly at her brother, although her eyes did shift occasionally to include Leon in her wrath. She wasn't sure if she was more mad at them for chasing Wesker down without an army and a rocket launcher, or if she was mad that she hadn't been by her radio to hear the call to chase Wesker down so she could round up additional backup. She was pissed, all the same, so why exactly she was wasn't so pressing a matter at the moment.

"So was there even a plan included in this or did you guys just pretty much go in with your cocks out trying to play whose is bigger?" She was being less quiet about her irritation than Rebecca was allowing them. Possibly because she wasn't trying to focus on fixing them, but she imagined she'd still be able to be snappy while cleaning a wound.

For once, Billy was the least injured and also the one that Rebecca was least angry at. He was certainly not taking that for granted, but the rest of the events of the day had pretty much crushed any kind of good feelings.

He sat in the farthest corner of the clinic, icing his leg (back in the brace, much to his chagrin, but he didn't want to try to incite Rebecca's wrath), his usual steely glare on full power, keeping entirely to himself and planning on only speaking if somebody bothered him to do so.

Kevin had an ice cold beer in each hand. One was pressed against his forehead, to help keep any swelling down, and he was enjoying the other one. He needed it after he got filled in on the situation in the city.

"No, it was just a massive dick waving contest," he stated as if he was trying to be serious. "Which I won, by the way." He flashed the obviously-pissed-off Claire a teasing grin, then went back to nursing his beer.

"Doesn't seem like much of a win from where I'm standing," Barry said, shooting Kevin a withering look. "What the hell were you all thinking?"

Of course, if Barry had heard the radio message he would have gone out there and helped without a second thought, but he wasn't about to say that out loud. He didn't feel like undermining his own point today, thanks.

Chris is sitting off by himself, a smoldering cigarette stuck in the corner of his frowning mouth, and holding a pressure bandage to his calf. Luckily, the bullet had exited instead of lodging in there. That was the only reason he'd been able to walk back on his own rather than be carried.

He knows Rebecca isn't too happy, so he's doing his best to stay quiet and out of her way.

"There was no plan, Claire. Leon called for back-up and sounded desperate. I couldn't just throw him to the wolves."

Leon scowled while the small, yet formidable former S.T.A.R.S. member put stitches in his hand. He shook his head. "It was weird. There was no reason for him not to do something when I first saw him. He knew I was there and yet I got the drop on him anyway. He's supposed to be faster than that, right? It just didn't sit right."

But he cheered up a bit at Kevin's comment. "That wasn't winning, that losing with style," he teased. "Gimme one of those," he said reaching out for one of his old buddy's beers.

Rebecca's mouth pressed into a thin line while the men talked and Claire antagonized, focusing very carefully on her work. Once she finished she wrapped Leon's hand over in a bandage and stood up.

"Don't pick at that," she ordered him, before moving over to Chris, the same carefully neutral yet still somehow angry look on her face. It was always a little bit more scary when Rebecca wasn't being as expressive as she typically was.

"Let me see your leg, Chris."

Claire's gaze shifted to Kevin briefly when he addressed her, giving him a look that could have the potential to turn one to stone, before she looked away again, eyes flickering to Chris and then Leon as they both spoke up. She could understand going to Leon's aid, at least, but what she couldn't wrap her head around was how a trained government agent could be so fucking stupid.

"Maybe he was baiting you," she said, eyes directly on Leon, her voice sharp. "And even if he wasn't why would you even think to go after him? You know what he's capable of and even if you got the drop on him he could still get the upper hand without breaking a sweat!" He'd thrown her around like a rag doll, the last time she'd encountered him. And while any one of the men weighed more than she did, she got the feeling she'd barely weighed anything to him, someone less than a hundred pounds heavier than her probably wouldn't make a difference.

Billy remained quiet over in his corner, now glancing over at the others instead of staring so concentrated at the wall. He really hadn't any idea of the history that apparently everybody on the block had with this Wesker guy-- all he'd known is that Leon was in trouble and he was the kind of backup Chris needed.

Though apparently Wesker had some kind of history with him. Or at least some knowledge of who he was. Mercifully the first person from Raccoon City who did. But of course the only person from Raccoon City who was undeniably bad news. The more he thought of possible scenarios the less he liked the answers he was coming up with.

Kevin tossed a beer at Leon, but aimed for the good hand, at least.

"I'm the only one who got to take home a shiny door prize." He pulled out the .50 caliber Desert Eagle that he managed to steal from HUNK. He had a big isn't this shiny and awesome? grin on his face, and was seemingly unfazed by the quiet and not-so-quiet anger of Becky and Claire respectively.

He glanced over at Leon's injured hand. "Damn... that's nasty. Hope that wasn't your Cinemax hand, dude."

Barry resisted the urge to roll his eyes at Ryman's remark/ogle his newly acquired firearm (it was a nice piece of work), opting instead to just sigh quietly at his antics and stay the hell out of Rebecca and Claire's way. Drawing their ire now would not be a good idea, and besides, it looked like Claire didn't need any help berating Leon and the others.

Of all the people to show up in Manhattan... Barry's mouth twisted at the thought of Wesker being in the city. As if things weren't bad enough already around here. This was just complicating an already complicated situation that didn't need any more complications.

Dammit dammit dammit.

"Goddamned Wesker. GOD DAMN HIM!"

Chris gets to his feet just before Rebecca reaches him, mindless of the pain in his leg. The cigarette drops from his mouth as he shouts, his face flushing red, and he turns and punches a nearby wall. The drywall crumbles into the shape of his fist, and the support beam underneath creaks and gives a little under the impact.

"We should have finished him while we had the chance!"

Chris looks down at his now bleeding knuckles, teeth set together, then storms past everyone and out the door, slamming it fiercely behind him.

Leon just watched Chris go, knowing that wasn't really his territory with Claire around. "Dammit, we're all sitting around here like we've lost something. The way I see it, it could have been worse. What we need to do now is keep an eye on the bastard. That Umbrella operative too."

He thought a moment. "Mainly, we need to make sure Wesker never finds out about Luis. He's found out the most about the crabs, and that's probably our best chance of getting rid of them."

Rebecca froze when Chris exploded, and didn't move until he'd left the room. She'd just about reached the end of her rope with that, and exhaling loudly through her nose she pulled the sterile gloves she was wearing off and turned on her heel, stalking back into the kitchen they'd converted into an area for sterilizing equipment and general clinic employee area.

"Fine, bleed to death." She could be heard muttering as she went about tossing her gloves and sealing up the needles she'd used to sew Leon's hand closed.

"Damn it..." Claire muttered, pushing away from the wall a beat after Chris slammed the door shut, and ran after him, ignoring whatever Leon was saying. She'd deal with him and his stupidity later, right now her brother was stressed out and it was her job to make sure he didn't go punch more walls.

Chris's outburst seemed to snap Billy out of his daze. He looked up and glanced across the room at the others, looking back and forth between those gathered.

"Hopefully the playboy's smart enough to keep his head down," Billy muttered, shuffling up to his feet and heading for the back door of the bar. "And we better hope blondie never finds out we're all staying here. Going upstairs, I'll be back."
