It wasn't the best of plans. Kang really wished they had more time to work on it, but it was imperative that the people on Roosevelt Island be rescued as quickly as possible, especially the healers. And frankly, the bozak had personal reasons now, after finding out that Kaylee had gotten bit by one of the crab parasites.
He and Temeraire were on the very edge of the 59th Street Bridge. Kang had grabbed an extra radio besides the one he already owned, and had donned the simple armor that Kida had made for him. She'd done a good job on it, despite not being an armorsmith. Standing next to the dragon, Kang brought one of the radios to his mouth and pressed the button, using a private channel, "Raiel, Hamel, are you in position?"
Kang was ready to go.
