At the helm of The Goddamn Car, Mac kept a sharp eye out. This was where witnesses had said that Parano was hiding out...somewhere around here, anyway. He wasn't Birdman, for sure, but the two had some connection. One would lead to the other, he was sure of it.
Mac grinned. This seemed more like one of his old fishing trips than anything else. Tryin' to catch The One That Got Away. He even had a partner sitting next to him, checking their gear.
Thanks to some deft siphoning and a stray fill station that still worked, The Goddamn Car - was it The Goddamn Squad Car now? - was juiced up and ready for an extended hunt and chase. Fishing boat was check.
His captain in the passenger seat had the Laptop running with a tally of their clues and a rundown of messages concerning Parano or "comrade" in the network. Fishing rods and reels were check.
Both of them had a radio, and Aya's sidearm was fully loaded. Nets were check.
Now, all that was left was the fish.
"Any of our sources narrow down the buildings to look for?" he asked Aya, looking out his side and driving slowly. Maybe they could set up a sting if they found the right place, just like the sweet spot in any lake.
