To say that Sora was nervous would be an understatement. Even with the couple of dates he'd done with Kairi, this one was for Valentine's Day. That practically made it official and everything. Not that it wasn't official already, but this just seemed to make it moreso. He'd been agonizing over the day for awhile, so he was thankful that Goofy stepped in and said that he had a little something prepared for them.

However, Sora wasn't quite prepared for the very fancy area set up for them when he stepped into the Rainbow Room. There were chandeliers, lacey table places laid out for them, and candlelight. It just made him all the more excited and yet nervous at once. He pulled at his collar...he'd made the effort to change into something "nice," although nice for Sora was some black pants, a dress shirt and a tie...fairly close to his old Sunday outfits on the Islands.

"Wooooah!"

Kairi had taken some of the advice given to her and was wearing a simple, light pink dress and a darker shawl - she wanted to keep comfortable with the weather. Though because of it, she felt just a bit embarrassed... it was supposed to make Sora notice her more than normal... or something like that. Kairi thought it was a strange idea but... it didn't hurt.

And the layout was fancy! Her cheeks reddened even more, and she couldn't seem to stifle it. "T-They did a really good job setting up," she managed at last in response to Sora's amazement.

In truth, Sora didn't really need any help noticing Kairi...although perhaps Evangeline's suggestion of dress was making him notice different aspects. And that was enough to make him pretty red in the face as well. Maybe it was just the lights in here.

"Yeah, no kidding," he replied. He stared around a little longer before realizing that he should probably be the one to seat them. Sora made his way over to one of the tables and pulled out a chair for Kairi. That's what the guy did for this, right?

The best way for Sora to swallow his nervousness was to put on more of an act of confidence, so he grinned and said, "Your table!"

At least they both were feeling the effects of the particular day. It shouldn't make them this antsy, but it was and... well, she could only hope she managed to pull together her composure and make it all a little less awkward for themselves.

Kairi smiled and slid into the offered seat, saying a quick 'Thank you' to Sora and then letting out a relaxed sigh. It was just dinner. Come on Kairi, this is nothing!

Leave it to Goofy for helping them out whenever he could...

"I'm glad we could do this."

Naminé wasn't sure what to make of this whole Valentine's Day thing. She had never heard of it before coming here, and from what she was able to glean from the network, it was a holiday that involved giving cards to the person you liked. She hadn't any card to give to Larsa, and hoped that wasn't what the party was for. Probably she should have drawn something...

In spite of her nervousness, though, she was happy to be with Larsa, who she hadn't seen for a while.

Larsa wasn't familiar with this particular holiday, either, but he wasn't going to complain about being able to spend time with Namine. He hadn't really had much of anything to give her, though he wished he knew what would be appropriate.

Once he'd found out about the evening, however, he was more than happy about it. The emperor glanced over at Namine and offered her a smile as he stepped further inside.

"I am looking forward to this," he told her gently. "How have you been?"

Goofy smiled when he saw Larsa and Namine came in, and after giving them enough time to greet one another he approached them with a friendly wave.

"Hiya Namine, Larsa, I'm glad ya could make it. If you'd like, you're table is right over here."

Once they were ready, Goofy escorted the two over to a nicely decorated table near the dance floor with a red table cloth fancy utensils and china plates. Two scented candles and a vase full of several kinds of fake flowers at the center of the table completed the scene. Once they were seated, Goofy handed them two menus, each in his own distinct handwriting, that had three soups and salads, several non alcoholic beverages, and for dinner a choice of spaghetti or steak.

"I'll just give ya a few minutes to think about what you want, and get you some rolls in the meantime," he said, and once both were settled he quickly made his exit. After all, the point was for them to have time together, not to spend all their time talking to him.

Naminé returned Larsa's smile with a shy one of her own. "I--I've been all right. My friend Roxas had to go away, and now..." She hesitated to elaborate on what she did for him and Axel, but Goofy's appearance saved her from having to decide whether to go on or not.

She had never seen such a fancy setup, at least not one that was meant just for the two of them. She would have marveled over it if she'd been able to find the words; instead she just managed a bashful "Thank you" to Goofy before he made his exit.

So many things had changed for the better that day. After weeks of apprehension, Riku found himself together with Rosette again, a relief he could barely begin to describe. Everything felt okay again, and though he knew things may not be the same, they'd be better at least.

And now the guilt of keeping that secret from Rosette had finally been lifted.

Better or not, Riku wasn't taking any chances, and as much as he disliked it, he dressed up to the best of his ability. He wore a navy blue tuxedo with a black shirt and tie underneath. His long hair was even pulled into a ponytail. That being said, for all the formality, Riku's thumb was still planted as firmly in his left pocket as ever.

That being said, the moment he stepped into the Rainbow Room, he was grateful he'd gone to the extra effort. It was definitely... Fancy. And absolutely perfect for this. His amazement was underscored by the fact he actually parted his bangs a bit to look around.

This is gonna be great.
