Balthier frowned as the message appeared and everything went dark. Well now, you didn't see that every day, did you? He sat where he was and stared at the screen for awhile longer, pondering what the message could have meant. Obviously someone was attempting to warn them of something, though what that something could be was anyone's guess.

Aside from the fact that it would likely be a long time before they were to be rescued, of course.

The sky pirate got to his feet after a moment and headed out into the hall, frowning confusedly as he saw the ball of glowing green light that had suddenly appeared. He thought he recognized the outline of one of the newer residents and so he approached. "At least one of us is lucky enough to have their own light."

Starfire's attention was pulled by the movement ahead of her and she immediately went into a defensive stance, pulling a hand back to prepare to launch an energy bolt in the direction of the other person. When she realized it wasn't someone who meant her any harm, she relaxed again, still holding the hand with the green light above her head.

"I do not know how long I will be able to keep it, but I have the ability for now," she responded, sounding as worried as she felt. "I do not understand what is happening. This is like when I went into the future and found Cyborg and our home in disrepair. But everything was working a moment ago."

Her expression turned confused and more than a little sorrowful. "If Robin were here, I know he would understand."

"Somehow I doubt that," Balthier replied with a shrug. "Many of us have been here for months and the majority still don't understand. Though I would assume this Robin of yours would be in the midst of things, wouldn't he?" He preferred to leave it to others to figure it out, himself. He'd leave once he was given a path, but until then he had every intention of leaving things be.

He took a few steps closer--close enough that his face would be visible in the light, but not too close--and leaned against the wall. "For now I suppose we'll have to gather everyone together and collect what candles for light we can."
