OSHI- IT'S A LION GET IN THE VANlilywhiteirisMarch 21 2009, 04:12:50 UTC
Iris was hopelessly lost. She had changed her tactic from finding a road she knew the name of, to finding a building with a computer in it to see if anyone knew where she was and how to get back to Harry's place.
It was then that she saw him. "Ah!" she said, startled. She didn't know if there had been a zoo in the vicinity at any point, but she did know that that was definitely a lion in the park in front of her.
She wondered if maybe she was quiet, she'd be able to slip past it and get somewhere safe. She kept her eyes on him as she slipped away, fearing that if he decided to give chase, she wouldn't be able to get away before being bitten.

Ash wasn't sure what was happening around here, his confinement - that is, his ability to stay alive, had not ended in the hours he had arrived to Manhattan. There was still much he didn't know and it was really starting to rattle his mind. His body shouldn't be existing-
But here he was, "in the flesh" you could even say. This wasn't a terribly bad thing, he had grown accustomed to being dead, now ... well, now being alive just felt weird. After securing a safe place for Marona, he decided to take a breather, to look around and to try and figure out where to possibly begin with this place. This... Manhattan.
His thoughts were interrupted by the sight of a young woman who seemed to be walking the roads alone. Funny, that didn't seem right. This place was far too dangerous for that!
Ash cleared his throat, "H-Hey! Miss!"
It wasn't until moments later that he realized the large manticore-like beast from afar. Had he walked onto something he shouldn't have?

Jay had been out and about - it seemed like a good idea, right? Heck, he wasn't getting out much at all lately, spiting winter more than he should and avoiding doing any work. It was probably a good thing there weren't any other agents here (especially Kay)... he'd no doubt get slammed for being such a damn slacker

Simba's ears pricked when her heard just the slightest noise. His mane swung as he turned his head.
He still wasn't overly familiar with the strange hairless animals, but he knew they were, for the most part, friendly. Certainly friendly and intelligent enough not to be considered prey.
The first one he saw was a female. At least, he guessed. Her form was softer, she was smaller, and had long hair. The other two, who came in quick succession, were male. The female and the first male seemed frightened. The second male wasn't, but he had some kind of stick.
"H-hello." Simba was never much for fighting. Blame it on being raised by goofy recluses.
Have an alien too?wreckingball626March 21 2009, 16:49:24 UTC
Stitch was watching all this from one of the trees in the park. These people were really afraid of the lion down on the ground. He laughed as he watched, knowing that he was just fine, being up here, and not down there. Plus, he could take on any lion, right?
He became more intrigued when he heard the lion talk. He'd never heard of a talking lion before! This place really was exciting and fun if this was what he found. He slid to the end of the branch he was perched on, watching the ground, and the humans and animal below.
Jay, you get the alienlilywhiteirisMarch 21 2009, 17:45:01 UTC
Iris looked from the lion to Ash, then Jay. She didn't know either of the two men, but she was glad they were there. She was certain at least one of them would be able to take care of this thre-- It talked!
She looked back at Simba with a shocked expression. "You can speak!" she said. "That certainly changes things..." she pulled up a hand toward her chest. She looked back at the two men, then to Simba once again. "We don't mean any harm to you. I'm Iris! What's your name?"

Would you look at that, Ash stopped for a moment to fold his arms, it really did talk. "Well, this makes things a little less complicated," he sighed, it was a good thing this wasn't a case of a damsel and a beast. Frankly, it wasn't like this hero-boy would have had anything to fight with here, Ash really didn't think that far ahead when he saw the two figures.
Although, it certainly did surprise him to turn and face a new figure near him. This really still was some sort of city, he realized. People really do live here.
It wasn't just people, either! "What's a lion doing in a place like this? ...Then again-" He looked around, mumbling a bit quieter, "What's anyone doing her? This island is a wreck."
Jay totally digs the alien.existasarumorMarch 22 2009, 00:20:39 UTC
Oh. Oh that changed things a bit, in more way than one as far as Jay saw it, but he made no comment regarding it. He didn't have to worry about playing on the hostile side it seemed; that was good. He dug his shovel into the ground and stepped closer to the others.
"We're all just tryin' to survive," he commented, crossing his arms and taking a gander at the sky above. He could say he's seen worse, alien invasions for one thing... and yet... those were almost easier. At least he had all his damn equipment.
Stitch couldn't believe the reaction towards the lion, and his reaction back when they seemed surprised that he could talk. Leaning over, he stared straight down towards the ground, not noticing that the branch he was sitting on was about to snap.
Until it did, sending him crashing face first into the ground.
Iris smiled and relaxed. Anything thatcould talk wouldn't just attack mindlessly, right? "It's good to meet you, Si-- Eeek!" Iris cried out and jumped with a start when something fell out of the tree. Instinctively, he shrank a bit closer to Ash.
Ash looked over, raising his arms slightly into a combat position as the loud noise startled them all, ready to protect this girl if needed, "What was that?!"
A small creature? A monster? It certainly was much smaller than they were from what he could tell. Not all small creatures were cute and fuzzy, Ash knew, but he really didn't think something losing it's balance and falling flat on it's face would be skillful enough to harm them. He relaxed, but he kept his eye on the creature, "Looks like we have even more company..."
At the woman's cry, Jay was quickly on guard, wondering what it could've been that scared her - they would've seen any crabs come their way. Then he noticed the small creature and couldn't help but grin. Nothing he could recognize, but still, it put him more in his comfort zone. He walked over and plucked it off the ground.
"Way to make an entrance, fella." Although Stitch probably hardly enjoyed being manhandled. Oh well.
"Sorry." Stitch said, flattening his ears against his skull. "Just accident." He apologized to the group, he hadn't meant to fall out of the tree, he just wanted to see what was going on, really.
Wait...this guy was acting like he was normal. He cocked his head to one side, looking at him. "You like Cobra?" The agent who had known who he really was, anyway.
She waved her hand, a bit of embarrassment showing on her cheeks. "I-I'm fine, it just startled me. Thank you," she smiled to Ash before looking to the small creature that had captivated everyone's attention. "You're kind of cute, actually," she said as she looked Stitch over. "Be nice to him," she told Jay.

At least they seemed to understand he meant no harm. Of course he could talk! What lion couldn't?
"I'm Simba," he answered the woman, keeping his distance. "And I ended up here just like all the others."

It's weird to see a lion's eyes that big. "What kind of animal are you?"
