Nia shuffled over to the doorway of the little broken down cafe she had taken refuge in a few hours earlier. It was quiet outside, so maybe now it was safe to continue her search for her friends? She sloooowly poked her head out, tilting it this way and that, and, seeing nothing that looked very dangerous, slipped out onto the sidewalk.
She had attracted some unwanted attention in the form of horrible clicking animals the last time she had called for Simon, so maybe this time she would try to be quieter... Stealthy! She stole along in a fashion she must have considered sneaky, the irony of trying to be inconspicuous while wearing a good deal of bright pink and having hair like a cloud on acid not occurring to her at all.
