Skulking was something Edna tried never to do, if she could help it. She strode, paced, or stalked from place to place, never skulking. The very idea held the faint tinge of insult, as if there were someplace in this world that would not find itself much improved by her presence.
And yet, here we are.
The monster-attack had been convenient, focusing the energy of all the city in that direction. Nobody noticed one tiny woman slipping out, especially when she took such great care to mask her presence. It would take sharper attention than most of them possesed to notice Edna without her customary command of all the room. And so, she skulked along the street, in a thick black faux fur chemise and deep blood-red scarf, bundled against the cold.
Soon enough, there it was, the hidden entrance, suspicious in it's innocuous appearance, seemingly all but unused with an artful dusting of snow. Secret, indeed, darling, and quite carefully so. She carefully skirted the snowbanks, leaving no trace of passing save the softly echoing tap-tap-tap of rapid footfalls from fashionable shoes. One narrow hand raised to rap insistantly on the only door she could see, and then it was to wait, casting a glare up and down the street, as if it were to blame for her current position.
