The signs of the decay of Manhattan and its remaining citizens grew more apparent by the day--the crumble of buildings, the ransacking of the shops, the filth building up in the streets--and for Marluxia now, in the length of his hair, now no longer shoulderlength but instead closer to midback.
It wasn't that he was against having hair of such length in and of itself--indeed, he had considered it before--but it got in his eyes and draped forward along his arms and in general could be a terrible nuisance, especially when Marluxia tended to his garden. It was with this in mind that Marluxia set out towards what remained of the retail district, searching for something to tie back his hair with.
He found one likely shop, with a little more effort found the beauty section, and then set himself to puzzling out some of the strange things women put in their hair.
