The howling wind made Haruka jerk out of her sleep quite suddenly. Everything had been quiet and then suddenly the cold had settled around her, chilling her to the bone. Haruka's eyes widened as she saw that her surroundings were not the warm, comfortable home she shared with Michiru but a snow covered city in ruin. She wondered if this was a nightmare, it was rather a bad reminder of the premonitions she had had of the Silence, but this was different...somehow.
She stood up, stumbling a bit and a little off balanced at first. She looked around cautiously, her body tensing up and readying for an attack. This had to be the work of a youma, right? It figured they would reappear just as peace was settling into her routine. Haruka scowled; there were no signs of a youma or anyone else really. She started to get an uneasy feeling in her stomach, something was even more wrong than she had originally thought. “Is anyone there,” she shouted, turning again to see if she caught any movement. She couldn't imagine anyone here...it looked like something had torn through here in a wake of destruction that left rubble everywhere and buildings askew.
Nothing happened, no one responded, and no one came. Haruka made a ‘hmph,’ sound and stepped forward, stepping into a puddle of somewhat melted snow. She hissed, the ground was freezing and her bare feet were quickly becoming numb. “Guess I have no choice,” Haruka muttered to herself, pulling out her henshin wand. She held it up to the air and called out her phrase, “Uranus Crystal Power, Make-Up.” There was a flash of golden light as the wind picked up and a woman in a sailor uniform replaced the pajama-clad one. The sailor suited warrior frowned, something felt…off about this…as if she wasn’t herself. She looked up, there was no time to ponder that now, she had to get her bearings on where she was and the only way to do that was to get through the rubble and explore. Her vision swam for a moment but she shook it off, there was no time for weakness.
