Hands deep in the pockets of her bomber jacket, Rosette made her way to the plaza. She wasn't entirely sure what was going to happen, but she was fairly certain it wasn't going to be ice skating. Everyone was on edge after Zero's disaster of a speech, and this was the perfect opportunity to talk about what was happening in the city and maybe find out who was behind it.

She arrived at the rink - no ceiling to collapse here, good - and waited.

Harry showed up soon after, having taken the time to gather up his notes and findings on what was going on in the city. He had the strangest feeling this particular ice skating session was going to involve a lot more cross referencing and theorizing than was traditionally associated with the activity ( ... )

Freudia knew with whom her loyalties lay. And she had had more than enough practice with bureaucracy to know that Miss Fey had not been speaking of ice skating. (Of course, if she had been, the ice princess would not have complained. Winter was a fantastic holiday for that sort of thing.)

It had been some time since she had attended an event that promised this many people. She had decided before her onset that it would only be proper to show up presentably. Hopefully the fur coat she had worn on Halloween would not prove too ostentatious. Not very much of a social butterfly by nature, she began looking around for people she knew. Ah, that would have been Miss Fey front and center. She cast the woman a smile as she walked by.

And was that... yes, that was Rosette. How fantastic! The gentleman with her, she did not believe she was familiar with, but there was no time like the present. She made her way over and greeted the two of them with a friendly smile.

After the events that had played out the last time they'd had a big meeting Riza decided she'd stick close to her fiance this time around, mostly because she knew he was still exhausted from his endeavor to hold the roof up at the subway. While she had tried to talk him out of coming to this she'd wound up giving in to him on the condition that she go as well.

She really wish he'd listen to her more often but he was just as stubborn as she was sometimes, which was saying something.

"Hello Rosette," Riza greeted the young woman when she approached her, giving Harry a look that said he should sit down on the bench nearby since he wasn't going to be in bed today. She noticed another woman approaching them and wondered if she was a friend of Rosette's, she gave her a short nod of greeting.

Rosette was a bit surprised that Riza had let Harry out of bed so soon. He was obviously still pretty tired. "Hey, Harry, Riza," she greeted them with a wave. "How're you holding up?" Aside from the obvious, that was.

She hadn't been expecting to see Freudia here at all, but she couldn't say she wasn't happy with her arrival. "Hey," she returned the smile, then realized that introductions were probably in order. "Have you met Harry and Riza?" She then turned to the couple. "Guys, this is Freudia."

Harry gave a tired wave. He didn't miss Riza's look, but figured he could at least say hello before he sat down. He'd been far too obedient this past week, if he didn't get a little obnoxiousness in he'd go crazy.

"Well, I feel like a building fell on me, so really I'm feeling pretty good by my standards," he answered Rosette with a tired grin.

Turning as Rosette introduced the young woman who came up Harry nodded and said, "Oh yeah, we spoke briefly over the network, debating philosophical differences if I recall."

That was a nice way of saying he'd try to talk her down from a lynch mob, but Harry felt no need to point that out. He was a firm believer that the past should stay in the past, and he recognized that he didn't exactly have a spotless record either. Live and let live, that was Harry.

"Ah, you are Harry. It is a pleasure to finally meet you in person," she said. And looking at Riza respectfully, "And your betrothed, is that correct?" Of course, even if she were wrong, she doubted it would be very far off.

But what he had mentioned about philosophical differences... surely they had spoken of other things. "Philosophy and of course the mystery of the city," she reminded him, their other conversations coming to her. "Discussion of the graffiti, among other things. I regret that we do not talk very often; you have very interesting insights.

"But I suspect there will be much to say about that subject today," she finished, casting a glance out of the corner of her eye towards Miss Fey's perch.

Riza sighed with exasperation, "I tried to get him to stay in bed but he wouldn't listen. I figured he would probably attempt to come when I wasn't looking so I decided if he had to come, that I would accompany him." Riza took a seat, hoping it would prompt Harry to do the same, honestly if she had to drag him to the bench she would but she thought she'd at least give him the opportunity to do so himself.

She looked over at Freudia, the name was familiar and Riza realized she had spoken to the woman over the network as well. It was always interesting how many people Riza had met over the network and had yet to meet in person. "Yes, we're engaged," she confirmed, "it's nice to finally meet you too"

Riza had to agree with Freudia this time about the subject, "Probably, Mia did use code after all...something tells me it's a little more serious than just the incident with Zero."

If "philosophical differences" amounted to an argument over whether or not a lynch mob should be created, then Harry was certainly accurate. For now, however, Rosette kept her mouth shut about it. This was not the time.

"Probably because one did, Harry," she replied lightly. She couldn't help but smile at him and Riza. Why had it taken him so long to propose, really? They balanced each other out perfectly.

"Yeah, but I wouldn't be surprised if Zero's disaster prompted this."

Harry just grinned unapologetically, but took the hint and settled himself down next to Riza. Let it never be said Harry knew nothing about compromise. Plus he was still pretty tired ( ... )

As Freudia thought about the people with whom she now surrounded herself, she came to the realization that she was certain they all had already reached. How strange these circumstances were. But it was best not to concern herself with it at all. She was a different person, anyway.

At any rate, she continued smiling pleasantly. "I would be very interested in that, Harry. There has certainly been a rash of interesting discoveries in the city since the last time we spoke.

"Not the least of which is this Zero character," she continued, directing her attention to the women. "I have my own opinions on him, but now is not the time for that." No sense escaping the fire only to walk right back in. "I certainly hope you all are doing well enough for yourselves, given the circumstances. Optimism is difficult to maintain, but very valuable. I trust Miss Fey to know what to do."

Riza was pleased when he finally decided to sit down, although it didn't really show aside from her posture relaxing a little, now she didn't have to get up and drag his ass down onto the bench. She casually returned the squeeze and nodded to Rosette, "I wouldn't be surprised either, but it wouldn't be unlike Mia to have had a meeting like this in mind for awhile ( ... )
