Zoe felt as if someone had clobbered her in the back of a head with a wooden club, and then dumped her in a freezer just for the hell of it.

She groaned slightly, sitting up from her sprawled position on the ice-cold pavement. This weariness and confusion...it felt like the leftover remnants of a weak poison. She blinked unsteadily, and then frowned as she quickly took in her surroundings.

"Aiya," she murmured, slowly and silent rising to her feet. A quick pat down and survey of her surroundings found her weapons gone. She had fallen asleep on the bridge of Serenity again, with the captain flying in Wash's old chair. River had been lulled off to warmer, more comfortable surroundings by Simon, and she had taken the tiny girl's seat. But...when had they landed? Had they been attacked? If so, why hadn't she woken up?

She frowned and looked up at the building she had been lying in front of - some sort of theatre, looked like it had seen better days. Though it was night, lights still cast long, oppresive shadows onto the deserted streets. It was quiet - too quiet for her liking. And she had no weapons, no idea how she got there, and no idea where "there" was.

At least she had her wits about her, as the last remnants of sleep faded away. And that in itself wasn't a bad arsenal.
