Miles Edgeworth had never been inclined to run anywhere, although that had certainly changed today. The shuddering steps of the monster jarred him, so by the time he made to the hotel he was paler than could ever be considered healthy. Leaning against the building for a moment, he stared in the direction the monster was headed, still visible above the buildings.
No one is safe.
Shaking himself, he entered the lobby of the building. He was breathing more heavily than normal, both from running and from sheer anxiety, and was covered in dust that he didn't have the presence of mind of brush off. Seeing all those hideous parasites, covering the streets... "crabs," Sora had called them... Miles shuddered. It was beyond denial that he had awoken into a nightmare.
Taking a deep, calming breath, he looked around the room for the woman who had agreed to meet him - an impulsive decision which he would not have made if not for the dire situation - before realizing he did not know her name. "Miss?"
